(no subject)
I think I’m going to start writing posts about general things that are going on in my life (instead of the usual ones that only I would understand). As some of you may or may not know I am currently residing in Banff Alberta. My plans are to live here at least for the summer beyond that I have no clue what I’m doing. I am thinking of working on a farm in either Alberta or BC in September then going to the states to work on a farm then hopefully I will go to Australia for a time. Also want to live in Africa for a time but that’s not till the distant, distant future maybe after I go back to school. Anyway, back to Banff. I got a job as night audit at the samesun hostel so pretty much I sit at the front desk on msn and check in late arrivals and tell drunkin’ people to shut the hell up. Sometimes you get drunkin’ people trying to check in at 3am that don’t have reservations. I know it’s just a hostel but really not the greatest idea checking in people that can’t speak straight. You also get a lot of drunken people asking to use the kitchen after hours. They also ask to use the pool table or the TV room. Sometimes they ask you for change to use the vending machine. I would say a good 80% of my job is dealing with drunken people. I hate dealing with drunken people. They are so irrational and loud. I let this one guy use the kitchen to make spaghetti and he made a huge mess. He came up and told me that he was tired and was going to go to bed but he’d come back and clean when he got up. He said he would sleep without sheets as a compromise. It really makes me want to stop drinking. Not that I do drink a lot and when I do drink I hopefully don’t get as drunk as these people but none-the-less drunk people are still really annoying to deal with. There is more that I want to say but my brain has pretty much shut down. It’s 4:20am. I have to stay up for another 2 hours and 40 minutes. I hope I can make it! Next night audit is next Wednesday. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to finish my post then! Night.
