True Blood
Wow, I am really starting to enjoy most of this show. I mean, I still am not the hugest fan of Sookie/Bill "the love to end all love" show. Mainly because it is sappy and heavy handed I swear I liked Bill in the first two books, but also partly because I loved every other relationship she had in the book ten times more.
I am really loving Eric and anything he does. I have my theories about what they are going to reveal about him next week (his vampire daddy? or old bf) but I am also loving Sookie when she is around all the other vampires but Bill. She was still annoying with Tara: here is your birthday present a picture with me in it!!!! Who wouldn't want that?
I love Jason's character but I am not loving his story line yet. I like this turn in his character where he is battling with his own ideas about vampires but other aspects of the story (preachers wife wants to hump me and all the boys at camp hate me) are getting to me.
I am also beginning to like Tara's story line. What is that crazy women? I mean seriously. I have pretty good knowledge of mythical creatures and I just have no idea.
But yay! I was worried that I would hate this show but I forced my way through season one because I wanted to see my favorite characters from the book on screen. Now I enjoy the show and it was a gateway drug into Big Love and Generation Kill. Hopefully HBO will make me love the new South Pacific war series and their adaption of the Song of Ice and Fire (oldtimy zombie creatures set in a fantasy setting for the win).
