You...

Name: Emily

Nickname(s): I get called Em, Emmy, and E. Though I never asked anyone to call me that.

Age: 24

Location: Atlanta, GA (A-Town, ATL, Hotlanta . . .)

Three positive adjectives that describe who you are: thoughtful (and smart! sometimes I'm thoughtful about smart things), creative, a caring friend

Three negative adjectives that describe who you are: shy, sensitive, insecure

Pick a line from a song that you think describes you: Oh, goodness . . . for some reason I identify a lot with Bjork's song "Possibly Maybe." The whole thing. Although it is sort of abstract, every time I listen to it, I think: "Yes, exactly!" Here are some lines: "Electric shocks, I love them, with you, a dozen a day, but after a while, I wonder: Where's the love you promised me? Where is it?"

Favourite quote The last time I was asked this, it was for an initiation ceremony into the International Thespian Society back in high school. And I came up with "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans" - that famous quote from John Lennon.

Hobbies/Interests: I play music in a band (bass guitar), I am studying creative writing and philosophy in school. I am beginning to think I would really enjoy being a college professor. I am interested in the arts of all sorts, my favorites being (in order): Music, Theater, Fashion. I listen to all kinds of music (thought right now I am listening to the new Radiohead CD on REPEAT. I have it on a loop). I am in love with musical theater (particularly Rent and Les Miserables). I am obsessed with fashion. I love looking at designer collections online, sighing at how I'll never be rich enough to buy that stuff, and then spend all of the money I earn on the prettiest clothes I can find in my price range. I took a few theater classes in college, but realized I was too shy to really let loose and be REALLY great like the other people in my class. So I switched my minor to philosophy. I love studying English and Philosophy because I feel like, in those subjects, you really get to learn/talk about everything in the world there is to talk about. I love reading and writing. And learning. School is awesome. I'll stop now.

Likes: Being at home with my kitty and my boyfriend, cooking (or baking) while listening to music, eating cereal and drinking coffee in front of the TV in the morning (Yeah, I like that song "Coffee and TV"), dancing, singing, the way I feel after a good workout, my friends, making things for my friends or my boyfriend, letting someone else drive the car.

Dislikes: DRIVING, biology class, dealing with most people (who are either stupid or annoying or both), people who tell me that one day I will change my mind and want to have a baby (I WILL NOT!!!).

Same gender stamp? I don't care.

Would you attempt the impossible, even if you were told it couldn't be done? Depends on how bad I wanted to do it.

Would you do what you thought was right, even without the help or support of others? Definitely, though I'd be a little irritated that none of my friends were willing to help.

Are you dependable? I am very dependable. And I hate people who aren't. If you're not going to do what you say you're going to do, don't even bother trying to be my friend.

Who or What would you lay in front of a tank for? For the people I care about, of course. My friends, family, loved ones. Oh, and especially for my cat. I am an animal lover. I'd stand up for animal rights. Though I'm not sure why a tank would be involved in that situation. You never know, though. Those meat eating fur wearing folk do seem to get a little crazy sometimes.

Across the Universe -

Favorite character and why: I would have to say Prudence just because I felt for her, her struggle to find someone who meant something special to her. I think we've all felt lonely like that. I wish she had been given more screen time and her story had been developed more. Then again, I always seem to enjoy the minor characters because I am left wondering about what they're all about, what their whole story is.

Who do you relate to most and why: I suppose Jude. Most likely because he is the main character and therefore we see the story through his eyes. I can't help but relate to him. And he seems like the most normal person in the movie (in a good way. not in that bad kind of way).

Favorite scene? I am a hopeless romantic, so of course I liked all the parts where you could see Jude and Lucy slowly falling in love. Outside on Thanksgiving, when he draws the picture of her on the wall . . . They could've made the whole movie out of moments like those and I would have thought it was the best thing ever.

Favorite quotes (no more than three): I have really only seen the movie once so far, so I don't really have any favorite quotes. They're all from Beatles songs anyway, aren't they? Those would have to be the BEST quotes in the movie, all the Beatles lyrics. Because the Beatles are amazing, the best band ever.

Favorite song-scene I really liked the "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" song-scene because it was really inventive. I would never have thought to use that song like that, but it really worked. And it was creepy! And that song is sooooooo good.

So, yes. I hope that was enough information for you. Thanks for reading/stamping. <3

stamped: prudence
