FrUK Event for the Entente Cordiale
What is this about?
This time we bring a different idea for an event: all fanwork should be inspired by one of Himaruya's alternative universes (which we've collected for you, at least the most important ones). As you know, there are lots of Hetalia AUs, but the author himself has contributed his fair share.
How will this work?
You choose an AU for your fanwork (s) for this event. Your first choice is obligatory and you'll have to post a fanwork based on that AU in April. If you manage to finish your fanwork before the deadline, you can continue writing fics or making fanart based on the various AUs available. There is no limit to the number of fanworks you can submit, but the minimum is one (1).
You can register here. PLEASE REMEMBER: if you sign up for this event, you are committing to participating. Nothing happens if at the end you don't finish your work, but considering that we are here to give FrUK all the love it deserves and have fun in the process, it would be great if you participate and produce at least one fanwork.
Rules
The main ship is, obviously, UK/France or France/UK. We don't want surprises, please.
All fics should be at least 500 words and there is no maximum limit. We are happy with one shots and multichapter fics. If you choose to do a multichapter fic, you need to submit at least the first three chapters before the deadline.
All fanart should be cleaned up, if possible use color and/or digital lineart (unless you choose traditional techniques, though even in this case please at least tidy it up). You can make fancomics too, but remember: they must be complete by the deadline.
Please proofread your fanfic at least once. Please consider asking for a beta if needed. We don't ask for perfection, but effort makes for a nice final product.
You can participate not only by writing or drawing, but also by reviewing/commenting on all the fanworks. Writers and artists would really appreciate your words.
Collaborations are not allowed, all fanfiction should be written individually. Translations aren't allowed either.
Deadlines
You have from February 1st to February 28th to sign up.
You must send your fanfictions and fanarts to IrisyRose17@gmail.com before March 31st.
When you send them we will reply with your publishing date. All fanworks will be posted between April 8th and April 30th.
