my mom has been teaching for almost 30 years and she still can't keep her class under control. i was one of those kids that couldn't stay on task, and now i feel terrible about it thinking of you :).

here's the thing, this was your first day back in some time, with a much younger crowd no less. being up earlier, nerves, and twenty something kids going every which way is going to cause stress. it's just something to think on and decide if you have the patience to pursue. can you be passionate about chaos? i'm proud of you for making the effort no matter what.

Surprisingly there really isn't bad nerves or anything. I'm not sure about loving chaos. And thanks :)

ugh. yeah, you made it sound like SOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun the first time. The kids are cute, and funny, and nice... but things just seem so chaotic to me. It feels like the whole time I'm struggling to keep control.... quiet, keep on task, line up at the door, whatever the project is seems like just a huge struggle. Which is partly why I quit on teaching in the first place...

thanks for the well wishes... I hope your day turned out well.

p.s. I think my highlight was lunch/recess, when I got in my car had a nice guy @ Taco Bell, and just sat in the room trying to figure out what I was supposed to teach the rest of the day.

oh yeah it's definitely a constant struggle to maintain order, and it's hard work, but so far subbing is the easiest work i've ever done. sorry today was rough, maybe try subbing for high school next time? it's a cake-walk

the U.S. Army, working in a hospital ER, waiting tables, delivering in blizzards, ice storms... all of these things pale in comparison to me, teaching is by far the hardest thing I've ever done.

Yeah, High School is what I originally wanted to do, but after a few months in Middle School I thought I wanted younger not older... but maybe, I'll try after giving this awhile.

I'm so scared of Settlers of Catan Cities and Knights dude, that shit was hardcore like what. My little brain struggles to capture the ideas of regular SoC...

Pictures of everyone sucking your cock EXCEPT Racer X!

You can always play the regular one, plus to blow your mind... we now have Seafarers of Catan!

Yeah, that guy had some issues.

It pisses me off that I'm so damn slow when it comes to games.

Oh, I have a luncheon thing on Thursday, 12pm Apple Jade, its a financal advisor thing, but after he spouts numbers, it's a free lunch for up to 15 of my friends.

Would you like to come? And Brianna and Rich and Jen and Pete and Amanda and whomever else...

Seafarers is less complex, you'll pick it up in no time.

Thursdays/Fridays are days I've set aside for subbing.... but I dunno about that right now. so... thanks, and I really don't know :)

not so much... I dunno, I need to figure it out more.

C&K can be a lot of fun I think. It did drag on a bit, but we had some shortages.
