Hypocrite of the week: George W. for this: "taxpayers' money to promote science which destroys life in order to save life is -- I'm against that" Oh really? What's the point of nuclear weapons George? Isn't it to take life, but in the end you save lives? For example we nuked Japan twice to end WWII, wiping out tens of thousands of civilians, but it SAVED life overall. Thus we used science to destroy life in order to save life. Which current U.S. President is currently working on NEW nuclear weapons? Oh that'd be you George. I think what you meant was you're against certain KINDS of science that the religious right doesn't agree with. I don't dislike conservative ideals, I dislike the way the neo-cons twist the truth and nobody calls them on it. And if you do call them on it, you must be 'just a liberal'--you couldn't possibly have a point.
I realize I'm pretty liberal, so I sound like I'm ranting, and you're losing interest. Seriously though, we were once the leaders of science in this world George. How can you expect our kids to keep up in the world when thanks to your lead our kids aren't even going to be taught evolution anymore. You're a big ass. For all you people who pray, start praying McCain gets the next Republican nomination, because I'd hate to see who Bush would back.
Also, who is the most interesting person on your LJ list that I don't have? I'm always looking for interesting journals. Please suggest people :)
In Settlers, I swept two games. Bringing me up to 9 wins, and 4 2nd place finishes...The first win was fast and kinda surprised me, much like Katie's win, the second was perhaps my greatest to date: I had 5 points (2nd place to Breanna's 7), and I managed to score 5 points (1 soldier for largest army, 2 victory pt cards and a new settlement) in one turn to win. In Risk, I was stuck with South America, and only 3 other countries, while Katie, Peter and Breanna all had better positions and much larger armies. I somehow managed to hang in the game for a bit, then slay Katie and Breanna... I had the cards to win next turn, but Peter came in and in his first game night victory mopped me up. Props to Pete.
To sum up, I really liked the new Star Wars (and recommend it to anyone who liked IV, V, and VI), I love game night, I love firebreathing Peter and his lovely woman J to the N, my new roomie Katie, and of course Rich/Breanna. I like W. less and less for more and more reasons. And I hunger to see Star Wars Episode IV.
