I recently learned that I'll be having shoulder surgery in May. (Yes, I know, that's 3 months hence, but I'm thinking about it now.) My dominant arm will be in a sling for 4 weeks, so I'm looking for suggestions of dishes I could make in advance with the crock and freeze so my family (husband and two school-age kids) will have something to eat other than spaghetti, salad and takeout every night. I need tried-and-true you-know-it-will-freeze-and-thaw-well recipes, because I know not everything freezes that well.
Alternately, I could also use super-easy crock recipes (preferably not using Cream Of X soups, however) that my husband could manage on his own or my kids (age 9 and nearly 11) could handle under supervision. Soups, meats, whatever. Prefer gluten-free, but I'm pretty good at adapting, so don't stress about that. I would like actual recipes, if you've got 'em. :-) Thanks in advance!
