I've got a bottle of KC Marinade in my pantry that I'd like to use on a whole chicken. Can I use this in the crock?
I've had a lot of success with various types of sauces - putting chicken or meat in the crock and then just pouring the sauce over it and cooking on low for 8+ hours. I did this with a chuck roast and BBQ sauce last night and it was awesome - my husband just loved it. Can I do the same thing with a marinade? Or would it be better to marinate the chicken overnight and then put it into the crock without the marinade liquid?
And I MUST MUST MUST remember to take out the bag of giblets before crocking! I almost forgot once... that would have been awful!
