hi all,
i just found out i'm hosting a dinner party thurs, but i'm not about to cut out of work early to start cooking. i have some yams and beets, and some (non-crock) recipes in mind that call for them, but they both require roasting them an hour or two first (part of it covered, part of it not, etc.). can i just toss them in the crock in the morning instead? if so, what's your best guess on time? wrap in tinfoil or no? brush with oil first? i've caramelized onion in the crock before, but never tried this....... no time for a trial run, so all thoughts appreciated!
