crockpot bread success!
i made crockpot bread last night!!
i am so pleased with the results. and amazed that yes, you indeed can make bread in your crockpot. next weekend is fun with yogurt, i think :)
anyway, i went by this recipe, minus the wheat germ because i didn't have any. i don't know what it would have changed about the result. (anyone?) the result is a bit denser than i prefer, i think because my crock is small (3qt), so the bread didn't have much room to rise. i also like a lot of texture in my bread, and the oats didn't add enough, so i think i'll add some grains or nuts next time. overall, though, it's quite delicious. toasted crockpot bread + butter and jelly + cup of coffee = happy sunday morning belly :)
