I tossed this in the pot last night before going to bed, so Hubby and Youngest could have something yummy before going fishing.
I don't really measure when I cook. Go by your nose and taste.
What you need:
- 3lb bag of frozen chicken breasts
- Honey
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Creole Seasoning
- Chili Powder
- Garlic Powder
- Hot black & red Pepper mix
- Brown sugar
Toss the chicken breasts (frozen) into the pot. Mix everything else in a large mixing cup or bowl to taste. (Every taste is different. If you like your bbq sauce sweet, use more brown sugar and honey. If you like it hot, use more chili powder and pepper.) And pour over chicken
Cook on low for 6-8 hours. If the sauce is too liquid, you can remove the lid and turn the heat up for an hour and it should cook off a little. It comes out liquidy like NC sauce. Shred chicken with forks and serve on your choice of bun.
I usually do this with pork roast, but decided to do it with chicken last night. Still turned out yummy.
