So I'm working on a project/resolution for next year I'm going to call "Bachelor Food". The thrust is this: I'm essentially a bachelor. I do have a roomie. I eat a lot of crap food and want to start eating more tasty things with spices and fresh ingredients instead of box crap like Rice a Roni and such.
Because I'm a bachelor, I've always avoided cooking real food because I didn't have anyone else around to eat it and it would either get gorged or go to waste, seeing as how I didn't really have storage devices to put it in. And also... I would just kind of forget about things in the fridge. (Still do.)
So my goal over the next year is to cook at least 1 good meal each week and document the results. The mistakes, the ideas, etc.
So, does anyone have a recipe they'd love to suggest I try in the crock? Something perhaps foolproof?
