I have a bunch of apples that are starting to get wrinkly and old and I was thinking I'd make applesauce out of them, especially as they were rather soft to begin with and I like crunchy apples. But I'm wondering what to do with it after I cook it. I think it will take me a while to eat that much applesauce. I was planning on getting some of the quart plastic containers at the dollar store (the kind like soup comes in from the chinese restaurant) and keeping it in the fridge, but will that be ok? Anyone ever make applesauce before? How long did it stay fresh?
ETA: Thanks everyone. I'll have plenty of room in the freezer when the Turkey comes out (either today or tomorrow I'm thinking....) I didn't think to freeze it, good to know it'll freeze well.
