Tangy Chicken Dinner

Jan 27, 2007 13:02

1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 onion, thickly sliced
2 large potatoes, sliced
1/4 c. worchestershire sauce
1/2 c. Italian dressing (next time, I will use light, too much oil)
pepper to taste

Place the onions and potatoes in the bottom of the slowcooker then lay the chicken on top.

Wisk together the worchestershire sauce and Italian dressing, and pour over the chicken . Sprinkle pepper on top.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

I saw a recipe for a basting sauce on the back of a worchestershire sauce bottle, and I attempted to adapt it into a slowcooker recipe. It was alright, but the chicken was overdone (I had my husband put it together the night before, and he accidently used chicken cutlets). The potatoes were very tasty, though. Next time I think I'm going to use this sauce for only veggies. Mmmm.
