Leaving the house

Do you leave the house while your slow-cooker cooks slowly? I'm willing to but haven't yet, nor do I have any specific plans.

technique, beginner

not trying to be snarky, but I'd hate to wait around the house for something to cook sooo slowwwwly. heh

yeah, but sometimes i get it started and then do stuff around the house, etc. like sunday. or, tonight. i got it started and it will be ready in the morning. i'll put it in the frig and reheat when my daughter and i get home tomorrow night. but, yeah, i would leave it during the day.

It is, but I also have no problem loading it on a Sunday morning, then reading the Times while it heats the apartment, which is more than the landlord does.

All the time...that's the entire reason I have a slow-cooker.

Yes, but only if it's on a heatproof cutting board. It's rare, but I had one melt out, and it scarred my countertop. Better safe than sorry!
