Maybe its just that i rode alot as a kid, but i remember reading about this months ago and being horrified.
When a police officer dies it is a tragedy, but though these horses are intelligent and thus probably enjoy their labour, they have no idea the risks they are doing.
Given that it is not therefore a willing sacrifice they are making it is imperitive that they recieve the utmost protection, and we honour their lives by sanctioning anyone who seeks to injure them
