Today in 7th Bell, I helped a student write an AWESOME thesis. He gave me some ideas, and then I gave him some ideas, which he rephrased beautifully into a declarative sentence fit for a King. It was a rough and tumble morning, so this afternoon was a relief. It was Friday , so I got to wear jeans to school. And one of the sophomore girls actually asked me to check the dependent clause in her paper, which is something we worked on for weeks and weeks last quarter. Then I got to make a bullitin board out in the hallway, and it looks really colorful and bright and happy. As I left the school building, several of my students shouted out greetings, and I felt glad to be a teacher.
