Title: Awk- warrrd.
Chapter: 1
Genre: Drama, Comedy
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Hyukmin (Eunhyuk + Sungmin)
Summary: Sungmin needs a new place to live, and finds the perfect place to stay with perfect roommate to live with. But, with such a hot roommate, will Sungmin be able to keep his hands off his new friend?

Looking for new roommate. Any gender, any age. Able to clean and cook and pay own half of rent.

“I can do that.” Sungmin said to himself as he read the poor attempt of an advertisement. But, who cares how it was written, he needed a place to live. And fast. His current roommate, Kibum, was a stuck up asshole who didn’t play his role in the living society on a regular basis, and when he brought home a prostitute...Well that did it for Sungmin. He needed out of the shithole he currently called home, and his job at the bar just wasn’t a good way to escape anymore.

“Hello?” Sungmin heard a man on the other end.

“Hello, my name is Sungmin. I am calling to enquire about your advertisement in the newspaper...The one for a new roommate?” He put on his special ‘polite’ voice as he spoke.

“Ah, yes. Are you interested?”

“Yes, I am.”

“Well, why don’t you swing today and check it out? I’m pretty desperate to find a roommate, and so far you are the only person who has answered the ad!” He proclaimed, and to Sungmin, he seemed like a nice enough guy.

“That sounds fine with me. What’s the address?”

The man on the line trailed off an address and Sungmin scribbled it down quickly. The said their goodbyes before Sungmin popped his head into Kibum’s room. He was sitting on his bed, reading a book, and this surprised Sungmin. He didn’t normally stay this quiet for this long.

“I’m going out. Bye.” He simply stated and before Kibum could reply he shut the door, trying his best not to slam it.

The streets were dead as Sungmin climbed into his small, old car. Sure, it was old, and cheap, and disgusting-looking, and Sungmin barely fit into it, and it made a tonne of noise when he started it (which took about a decade), and the fumes that came out of it were foul-smelling, and the radio didn’t work, and, most of the time, never did the windshield wipers...but hey, it did the job. It took him from A to B, and for once in his life, Sungmin felt his B destination might actually be worth it.

After numerous attempts, Sungmin started the car. He started his journey and he thought about what his possible new roommate might be like. Was he hot? Was he an asshole like most of the men population? Was he tall? Was he a good singer? His thoughts about this man drove threw his head like bullets, and he nearly forgot where he was headed, but he managed to reach the house eventually.

HOUSE? This is a house?! Sungmin was shocked as he pulled up to a castle. It was a light sandy colour, with a balcony and a porch, and...it even had a driveway! He pulled his noisy car to the gate and stopped it quickly, not wanting to cause disruption to perfect-ville. Hedges acted as barriers to the house as well as a large, oversized gate, and he rolled down his window only to press a green button with a small telephone on it. He heard ringing, and briefly looked around to discover it was the small machine in which the button he pressed was situated.

“Hello?” he heard the familiar voice answer in the same, friendly tone as earlier.

“Hey. It’s Sungmin.” He said, hoping the man would remember. He looked around and took in his surroundings quickly.

“Come on in!” The black gate in front of his beamer creaked slightly as it opened and Sungmin tried his best to quickly turn his car back on to drive through before the gates closed again.

“This house is beautiful.” Sungmin was in awe, it was like a house you picture in dreams, and Sungmin knew that dreams rarely became reality. There must be a catch.

“It isn’t much, but it works for me.” He heard the voice behind him, and Sungmin quickly turned around, shocked that there was another in the room. He looked up to the male.

He wasn’t that tall - average for a Korean male. Sungmin looked to his face: he had dark, mid-length brown hair which shined in the numerous lighting; huge doe eyes which belonged in a fairytale book; a structured nose which was perfect for his face shape; and possibly the most pouty lips Sungmin had ever seen. His jaw was sharp, and he was wearing a blazer rolled halfway up his forearms - the way Sungmin believed blazers should be worn.  He couldn’t be much older than Sungmin, and underneath that tight, white vest top, Sungmin could see he was fairly bulked up also. His black jeans clung to his legs and Sungmin’s gaze fell to his crotch. He couldn’t help but wonder what his ‘male region’ was like.

“Hello!” God proclaimed as he smiled. His gums showed as he displayed his teeth and Sungmin could feel himself fall in love just by looking at him. NO. Stop it.

“Hi! I’m Sungmin!” He said, a bit too cheery. He smiled gracefully at the man, presenting his ‘good side’ as he gently bowed.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name?” Sungmin said it as if it was a question.

“Lee Hyukjae. But everybody calls me Eunhyuk, or just Hyukkie. You can choose!” He held out his hand and Sungmin placed his hand in Eunhyuk’s lightly. His hands were so soft, Sungmin noticed, as they lightly shaked hands. They stayed holding hands for a while, until Eunhyuk realised what they were doing and pulled his hand away sharply. What just happened?

“Would you like a tour of the house?” Eunhyuk asked after clearing his voice. So I wasn’t the only one who felt that.

“May I ask...Why do you want a roommate?” Clearly, he  does not have a problem with rent, nor was there a lack of people around (he noticed the vast amount of maids and butlers parading the house).

“My mother and father want me to learn people skills. They seem to think that I spend all my time here being antisocial, so I said that I would try to find a roommate. I didn’t think that I would actually find one.”

“You’d be surprised...” Sungmin muttered as he tried to read Eunhyuk , which was proving to be difficult.

“What?”

“...Nothing.”

Sungmin felt himself drowning in the sheer amount of information to take in. Each room had a different role, even bedrooms. What else do you do in a bedroom?! Hahahahahahaha. Sungmin laughed in his head. I think you know ;). Get your mind out of the gutter, please. Concentrate, you don’t want to seem pompous.

“And this is the gym. You’ll probably find me in here during my free time. I like to stay fit...or at least think that’s what I am doing.” Eunhyuk laughed, and Sungmin laughed with him. He was beginning to like this guy...a lot.

“Am I allowed in here when you are?” Sungmin asked, not too sure if they would be living by the rules of ‘this side of the house is mine, and that is yours’ which is what he and Kibum were doing at the present.
“Of course! I’ve never had a working-out buddy!” He said playfully and winked, causing Sungmin’s mind to sinfully wonder. He had to watch he didn’t drool...now that would be awkward.
