Comments: This isn’t very long, because… well, I didn’t feel like making it really long… I guess hehe Anyways; this is for dear sarky_chepooka, one of my fave commenter’s, as well as, part time shoulder devil haha I had promised this forever ago and I had yet to really deliver a little something.
This particular product is the result of a country song. I don’t know what it is with me and country lately. I assume it means I am homesick. I may just want to go back to the country, get away from the city kind of life and go back to the country life. How I miss the country life.
So, I hope sarky enjoys it, as well as my other dear readers ^^

Stumbling past the threshold of the apartment door, the two bodies pressed tightly against each other. Soft moans of pleasure slipping past kiss bruised lips, hands feeling up and down a lithe body. Both persons desperate to feel skin on skin, as clothes began to be shed and dropped to the floor.
How long had it been? When and how did this even begin?
Head falling back with a heady moan, Ruki gripped the dark hair. Rolling his hips into his lovers, his lids fluttered as he whispered, “please, Kai.”
The man’s lip curled into a small smirk, as he lifted the brunette and carried him to the bedroom down the hall. He sat down with the other atop of him, capturing the lips of the other and continuing with the passionate kiss. Groaning into the mouth as Ruki gave a roll of hips.
Gripping at the steely shoulders of his lover tightly, the shorter felt their bodies shift and he was lying back on the mattress. The lips of the other man detached from his own and made a path of kisses down his body. Fingers tickled and left a soft burn on his heated skin.
How had another’s touch become what he wanted? How and why had it gotten this far?
Keening against sweaty skin as a finger pushed into him, Ruki’s head fell to the side, lashes fluttered open and he was gazing at the creamy sheets of the bed. Soft bed sheet’s he should only be sharing with one other person. Soft cotton that should only touch the skin of one other person who had given him all he wanted; bed sheets that would cocoon them as they held one another.
Eyes shutting as that finger curled and brushed against the bundle of nerves. Nails dug into the strong shoulders of the man as it happened again and a moan fell past his lips.
Body arching off the bed with another moan as Kai pushed into him, Ruki’s hand shot up to grab at the bicep of the other. A quick flash of light reflecting caught him the eye. Eyes parting and he found himself gazing at the piece of jewelry on his left hand; there was this heart clenching guilt.
The image faded away as his head tilted back at the first firm thrust.
Lips parted, he panted harshly. His body is being giving an unimaginable amount of pleasure with each snap of hips; the pleasure increasing each time. The level of his voice slowly rose as well.
“Shit, Ruki,” Kai groaned into an ear.
This wasn’t supposed to be happening. This shouldn’t be the man saying his name with such passion, with such love. No, this wasn’t how it was supposed to be, but, here he found himself.
The pace of their bodies picked up and Ruki’s voice rose even further. Dragging nails down the back of the other, as he felt the familiar pressure coiling deep within him. It intensifying and building as a strong hand gripped his aching arousal firmly; stroking him. The brunette’s body trembled and tightened as his orgasm suddenly hit him.
After lying in the afterglow of their peak, Ruki merely laid beside the man, staring at the ceiling. He felt the body shift beside him, an arm coming up and pulling him toward the other body. Resolutely, he pushed the arm away.
Sitting up slowly, the brunette looked down at his hand. The silver ring casting off the light of the sun and he uttered the words softly, “I can’t do this anymore.”
Kai’s head snapped up quickly, staring at the back of the man. Had he really just heard the other say that? Had the man he’d been seeing, sleeping with and becoming connected with saying that it was over between them?
“Ruki,” he called softly.
“I can’t,” the other lifted his head slowly, gazing out the bedroom with tears. Blinking back the tears, he shook his head, “I can’t keep doing this to him. He- My husband doesn’t deserve this. He’s never done me wrong and I- I can’t keep doing this to him.”
“But,” the man muttered softly, “Ruki, I love you.”
“I love him though,” Ruki turned to the man he had been cheating with. A sad smile, he reached up and wiped away a tear, “I still love him; so much.”
“Ruki, don’t,” Kai shook his head desperately, “please, don’t.”
Biting on his lip, hazel eyes glanced at the digital clock, “you need to leave.”
The man tried again, reaching over and fingers barely brushing over skin before the man moved away from his touch. “Ruki, talk to me.”
“Please,” he stood, barely glancing over his shoulder. Combing fingers through his sex mussed hair, Ruki’s voice trembled, “please, leave. I have to get cleaned up.”
Watching his lover walk off into the bathroom, Kai stood up off the bed slowly. He gathered up his clothes when he heard the shower going and dressed slowly. Finishing, he just sat back on the bed and waited. He had to talk to Ruki; they had to talk this out.
Several minutes later, the shorter came out, pausing. Turning his head away, Ruki went to the dresser, taking clothes from the drawer and going back into the bathroom without a word. Taking another several minutes to dress, he stepped out and found Kai still sitting in the same spot.
“We have to talk,” Kai muttered, staring at the man before him.
“I’m not leaving him,” Ruki whispered. Brushing a few wet strands behind his ear, he took a deep breath and released it slowly, “I have no reason to leave him, Kai.”
“Am I not a good enough reason?” he retorted angrily.
Clearing his throat and becoming anxious of where this was heading, he said it more determinedly, “I am not leaving my husband. I’m not leaving him, because I love him.”
“But, you’ve been with me,” he continued to try. Standing from the bed, Kai took a three long strides towards the man, “you’ve been with me; you’ve kissed me, held me-”
“It was a mistake,” was the whisper.
The look in the man’s eye was utter rage. Turning away a growl, Kai rubbed his face roughly, before turning back to the brunette, “don’t lie to me, please, don’t lie to me. We’ve always told each other everything.”
Swallowing the lump in his throat, Ruki gave a shake of his head, “I love my husband.”
“What about when we’re together?”
“I still love him.”
With an unbelievable shake of his head, Kai turned. Taking his coat from the back of the chair and went to the door, stopping. Turning around slowly and taking what felt like that would be last look he’d ever give the man he had fallen madly in love with.
There were tears in Ruki’s eyes, but, they were tears of heartache. But, it wasn’t because of their parting. Those were tears of guilt.
“So, what; you’re just going to pretend that none of this ever happened?” Kai found himself saying bitterly. “You’re going to keep lying to him?”
“No,” he glared at the man standing in front of him, “I’m going to tell him the truth.”
*~*~*
He stepped onto the elevator, pressing the floor button for it to take him up to his apartment. He was eager to see his husband. It had been a long day of work and all he wanted to do was to just hold his lover tight in his arms; to just feel him.
Looking up at the blinking lights of the elevator, he sighed. For the last few months, Ruki had been acting strangely, almost distant. It unnerved Reita, because, he just didn’t know what was wrong with his lover.
They had been together since high school.
Running both hands through his blonde hair, he tried to think. There was nothing though; nothing that indicated he had done something wrong for Ruki to shy away from him. Reita hadn’t given his lover a reason to do that. Yet, here they were; the man he married distancing himself and not allowing Reita to touch him the way he wanted; much less, kiss him.
Gaze shifting to the bouquet of bright spring flowers, he smiled. It had been quite a while since he had done any kind of romantic gesture for his husband. Reita was going to make up for that.
Lifting the bouquet to his face, he inhaled the sweet aroma deeply. Earlier in the day, he had texted his lover and told him to be dressed and ready. They were going out for dinner and a movie. After that, he was going to announced a much needed vacation; just them.
The elevator made a sound of its arrival.
Exiting off the lift, he made his way down the hall. Coming around the corner, he found a man coming towards him and offered a genuine smile to the stranger. It faded though when the other looked at him and gave him this indescribable look as he passed by abruptly.
Giving a confused glanced over his shoulder, Reita continued to his apartment door. Taking his keys out and barely getting the metal into the lock, he lifted his head and looked after the man turn the corner hastily.
Blinking, Reita unlocked the door and entered the apartment. The door fell shut softly behind him, smiling as he called, “baby, where you at?”
“Kitchen,” was the man’s stiff reply.
Smile falling just slightly at the tone of his husband, the blonde walked into the kitchen. Stopping short as he found the younger leaned over the kitchen sink, a soft sniffling sound. Lowering the bouquet of flowers, Reita stepped up to the man.
Head tilting as he tried to gaze at Ruki’s face, “what’s the matter, babe?”
Wiping at his face, the brunette shook his head. Having trouble getting the words to come out; trying to tell his high school sweetheart what he had been doing. This was the man who he had only ever loved and the man he had thought he’d only ever need.
Turning and bury his face into the chest of the man, Ruki cried harder. The brunette didn’t want to lose him. He didn’t know what he’d do if he was to lose the blonde.
“Hey, hey,” Reita cooed, embracing the body tenderly.
The blonde contractor was shocked by the display of emotions. Yeah, they had their moments but this; this was a whole new level for Ruki. The other never, if rarely cried like this.
Petting and combing the soft hair soothingly, he nuzzled his husband, “what’s the matter, Ru?”
This was it. It was now or never.
Pulling back with a soft sob, he looked up into earthy brown eyes. Blinking away a few more stray tears, his voice cracked as he forced the words out, “I- I’ve been… ch-cheating on you.”
The bouquet of flowers fell from his grasp and he backed up into the counter. Reita stared at the man before him, shocked; speechless.
Bottom lip trembling, Ruki whimpered quietly, “I’m sorry.”
The contractor could feel his eyes begin to sting. There was this cold, constricting feel in his chest as he stared at his husband. All he could was just stare at him; not knowing what to feel, what to do in that exact moment.
A moment passing as Ruki sobbed softly. The heartbroken sound filled the quietness of their apartment. The look on the brunette’s face; it was filled with so much guilt and sadness. The sight before him, it broke Reita’s heart.
“I’m sorry,” he whimpered again, the tears falling even more. No longer able to look the man in the eyes, Ruki lowered his head; the confusion, the hurt and betrayal it was too much. “I’m so sorry.”
Suddenly, there were arms around Ruki.
The tenderness of the hold, the unspoken words of forgiveness as those strong arms tightened around him. A whimper of relief escaped him as he clutched to the sturdy body of his husband. Loving kisses pressed to his temple, reassuring him that he hadn’t lost the man.
But, it was going to be a fear forever in the back of Ruki’s mind.
This; his indiscretion would forever haunt them both.
