No boy, no girl, no relationship, no amount of money, no promotion, no career growth, no ministry…can ever truly satisfy you if it takes the place of God in your life. God created you, He is your source. So whatever takes the place of God is idolatry. I’m not saying you don’t have a relationship or earn money or enjoy your career or join a ministry but if it takes the place of God in your life, it is idolatry. And idolatry leads to misery. There will always be a void you will strive to fill if you live life always running after something. Look back, God is chasing after you.
