[Ohhhh, a recognizable face spotted! He smiled and rushed over while holding his hat. Interesting how so many people were brought to the city today.]

Ha? Several minutes? [Well, that was something. This world sure had a way of confusing people left and right. Though it was The City.]

Then it seems we're both taken from different times. The last time I've spoken to you have been at least a few months ago.

I see. It is like how Klarth-san and the others are from the past, and I from the future. Is this Dhaos' doing?

[AP]

Hmm, it's a bit different but relatively the same idea I suppose and no. There's a small chance that it was his doing. Dhaos is here, along with Cless, Mint, Chester, and Arche, but it didn't seem like he planned on coming here nor did it seem like he knew how to return. We're no longer in Aselia for one and people from various places have been gathered here for one reason or another. And, well, that's what I've been investigating you could say. To find out that reason. [He lightly sighed to the long journey ahead.]

Well, either way, you'll need a place to stay while you're here. There are INNs available, but if you'd like, you could stay with us, Suzu. [He warmly smiled. He knew everyone would be happy to see her again.]

Then it's settled. [Ah, the child side that she often didn't show. He was glad it was still there. When he heard of her concerns, he paused and closed his eyes. He gave it a good thought before carefully answering.]

You're right. Naturally our goal would be to take care of Dhaos. He has caused us numerous suffering in the past. There's no telling what he would do next. However, there is no magitechnology nor anything else that is depleting mana in this world- his main reason for performing his act in the first place. His motives here are still unclear. If we act before finding a good reason to strike him, we'd be no different than any wild beast. [He finally re-opened his eyes to faintly smile at the girl.]

Besides, death seems to work differently here as well. The best we could do right now is to keep a good eye on him.

[As she listens she begins to see even more how this world is entirely different from theirs. She doesn't quite understand it yet, but she at least trusts Klarth and his intelligence, so she doesn't protest.]

Death works differently? I do not understand.

Well, to begin, people don't, no, more accurately they can't die here. I've learned that once someone loses their life, they return as something called City dead, where the body becomes cold and lose the sensation of hunger. To put it simple, they're walking deads. At least so I've read and heard.

I see. That is a strange occurrence.

I'm sure it'll all sink in with time, for you and I, both. [sighs and smiles.]

Either way, let's get going. The others would be happy to see you. If it's only been several minutes after we've parted, you must be hungry as well.
