I haven't seen people act like this much in the time that I have observed them. They were interested in other things.

Greed, knowledge, seeking to become better for some sort of unnecessary acknowledgement. All these things- they eventually always lead to war. Those that may have had no interest in those sort of things were dragged into it as well.
