A silly plea for help
So as some of you may or may not know, I did Roller Derby until I got injured 2 years ago (I reffed the rest of that season) and haven't skated since. Well, the flat track is calling my name, and I'm going to try out here in DC when they have their next open call (which will probably be in July or August). If you're not familiar with the sport of roller derby, all you need to know for what I need help in is that most girls skate under a 'stage name' or a fake persona that we take on. I used to be Hook E Monster (a pun on Cookie Monster if you didn't get that), but I feel like 'Hooker' (as they loving called me) is behind me now and I want a new name and I want it to be footie related.
The problem with footie related names is that not a lot of Americans know that much about footie and I don't want to be one of those skaters that has a name that makes people go 'what???? I don't get it'. So keeping that in mind, I'd prefer my name to be Barcelona related as they were the club I was brought up with. I've been trying to make a pun with Messi's name (because the whole Messi/messy part is great and he's the one player everyone knows) but am having a hard time making 'Leo' or 'Lionel' into something either menacing and/or feminine.
