Giles pulled up near the mall. He had insisted on going out with Willow without telling her where they were going. He smiled and held out his hand, opening the door for her.

Willow put her hand in his and stepped out of the car. "Um.. can I open my eyes now?" It had been a real strain not to open her eyes the whole ride down well wherever they were. "Please? This is driving me crazy."

Giles chuckled. "Of course, just being a bit playful, luv. I thought it was time to do something normal, like shopping for rings. I'll leave the wedding dress shopping to you, Buffy and Dawn."

Willow laughed a little. "Ah well thank you. I'm sure you don't want to watch me try on dresses all day anyways. Rings huh? That sounds like fun.. lead the way." she opened her eyes, seeing she was at the mall.

Giles shrugged. "I'm sure Wes and Xander will be just as bored when I decide what to wear. Have you thought about where you'd like to have the ceremony? The beach, on top of a mountain, the woods?"

"Ooh the woods would be nice. I love the smell of pine. Not so keen on the heights thing though." Willow answered, opening the door for her husband.

Giles held her hand as they walked along slowly, working their way towards the jewelry shop he had thought about. They specialized in speciality wedding sets and he wanted Willow's ring, at least, to be special.

"You know a simple band would be fine for me, luv," he said softly. "You, however, yours should shine like your eyes."

Following alongside of him, as they came into the store, Willow glanced up. "Ah well.. that's fine I guess.. I mean.. I want yours to be special too. You're far from simple my love."

Giles blushed lightly and kissed her cheek. "Thank you," he said softly. "I think you'll like some of these in here."

"I'm sure I'll like anything you pick out." Willow smiles and heads over to the first counter, peeking inside to look over the rings. "Got anything in mind?"

"Not sure, really," Giles admitted. "What draws you? The knotwork? High set diamonds?"

"Eh.. I can totally do without the diamonds. I'm not a jewel kind of a girl. Knotwork is pretty though. I like different patterns." She chews on her lip as she looks through the selections. "Ooh what about that one?" she points.

"I like that," Giles smiled. "Three knotlines interlaced. Suits that Celtic look of yours. That red hair and green eyes, I swear you're a changeling, my love."

Willow turned her head and giggled, giving him a kiss. "Really? Explains it then. Only red headed Jew in existance. Irish Jew is kinda like the equivalent of the black irish." she asked the counter lady then to see the ring, and try it on.

Giles watched her eyes as she tried on the ring. "You're so beautiful," he said softly. "After all we've been through, I can't believe you married me."

Looking down at the ring, Willow liked it, but wasn't sure it was perfect. She was blushing though. "Of course I married you. I love you like nothing else Rupert Giles.. I.." she stops as she sees another ring. "Ooh.. no that's it. That's the one I want." she points at one that's subtle but very pretty.

"Very nice," Giles nodded. "That's the set then. Let's find the sizes, shall we? When would you like the ceremony? I'm not sure how long it takes to plan these things, even for a small group."

Willow gave the ring back after trying it on, and getting the size down, having the lady measure he fingers. "Oh anytime. I just want it simple..and us. I don't think we need flowers or heck even music or anything like that. We can just come back home and have our own little party. Nothing fancy."

Giles nodded, trying on the size rings and watched as the clerk wrote down the order. He pulled out an index card and handed it to the girl. "I'd like that inscribed on the insides? How long would that take?"

Hearing a week, Giles nodded. "Then we'll have the ceremony in a week and a half, yes? You, me, our real family in the woods? Perhaps around Big Sur? In the woods by the ocean?"

"That sounds perfect." Willow was curious what's on the card but didn't want to peek. She's just naturally curious. "A week and a half in the woods with our family. And maybe by then Ryanne will stop hating me even more. Maybe."

Giles shook his head. "If she's as stubborn as Buffy, that may take longer than a week. We'll work on it. Perhaps start doing regular things around the place like having meals together, the training, lessons and moving into the larger apartment?"

He took back his credit card and smiled at his wife. "Lunch? And I'm clocking to see how long it takes for you to ask."

"I'll try. I mean I want her to not hate me anymore. But even.. I mean.. he was going to kill her and I stopped him and she still thinks I'm going to hurt you." Willow shrugs. "Lunch yes..." she blinks and tries to look innocent. "Ask what?"

Giles laughed and kissed her gently. "I know that, Ryanne tends to think with her emotions rather than her head. We'll get through it and I don't fault you for anything you did to Ethan, luv. And you know damned well ask what. You want to know about the inscription? I didn't ask but I thought you'd approve."

Willow shrugged and bit down on her lip. "I wanna know but you don't have to tell me if it's a secret. I think I can wait a week and a half....... I think." she grins.

Giles laughed and picked her up, twirling her around in a hug. "You're adorable, Willow Rosenburg-Giles. It's written in old Anglo-Saxon, its says Mage, Witch, Forever."

Willow squealed as she was twirled, hugging him back tightly. "Just Willow Giles thank you. No more of that Rosenburg nonsense. That's old me. This is new me. And that's very pretty. Thank you."

"Anything for you, my luv," Giles smiled as he lowered her to her feet. "Now, what would you like for lunch? Food court, nice restaurant or something greasy and quick?"

"Mm.. chinese. Food court's fine with me. I want some General Tso's.. I've got a craving from like last week." Willow took his hand and pulled him off towards that direction.

"Gods, you are strange at times," Giles mumbled. He followed easily. "I think I'll go for the Greek this round."

Once they had their food and were sitting Giles leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Would you like to contact your family? Let them know you're married and still alive? You've seen mine, I'm just glad he was polite to you."

Willow smirked and kissed him back as they sat down. "Um.. I guess so. Why not right? It's not like she can burn me at the stake anymore. As long as it doesn't turn out like Anya and Xander's wedding. Or almost wedding."

Giles shook his head. "Your choice if you want to invite them to the ceremony. Since it'll probably be a mix of paganism and general vows, not sure they'd be comfortable but I think they should know you're alive."

"Alright.. I'll call and tell them I'm alive and see if they're any more open minded since they narrowly escaped the demise of Sunnydale or.... well not. We'll see." Willow shrugged and dug into her food.

"Bit strange, isn't it? They probably wouldn't approve because I'm not Jewish and Jenny's clan won't approve because I'm not Romany," Giles smiled, reaching for her hand. "No pressure, luv. I want you happy with no regrets."

Willow rolled her eyes "You're perfect so they can just bugger off." she grinned a little. "I think your Englishness is rubbing off on me. I am happy love. Absolutely."

Giles raised his eyebrows. "Just don't tell them what that term means, thank you. Do you, uh, ever think about children of our own?" he asked softly.

Willow laughed a little. "I won't tell them I promise. And babies? Um.. well I've thought about it a little I guess. I mean with Jenny being pregnant it just .. wanders into my brain." she pauses. "Do you want children?"

"Never thought I'd have the chance," Giles admitted. "Being an old Watcher bachelor. Now, I've a second chance, to bring something positive out of that damned spell. I think you'd be a wonderful mother, Willow."

Flushing a lovely scarlet color, Willow nodded. "I think you'd be a great Dad. I'm sure you will be with Jenny's child. Um... well I mean.. if you want to uh.. start trying, I don't see why we can't? I'd like that I think."

"Willow, I love you more than anything," Giles said gently. "When we get her Giles here, no doubt our relationship with her will change. It won't change you and I, my love."

She nods slowly. "Yeah I know it will. And I love you too Giles. I promise we'll always have each other. I want to start trying if you do." she reached over and squeezed his hand.

"Good, you know I do so enjoy the trying," he teased, blushing a little himself. "Uh, yes, how about, uh, shopping for giftings for our family for the reception? Something special for each of them."

The witch blushed in return as she finished her food. "Yeah that sounds good. They all deserve something special."
