Dekkon felt better than he had in years. Working with Wolfram and Hart definitely had its perks. The compound had been fantastic, he reflected. The hunts, the willing female Weres, the food, all had been great.
He entered the office and peaked in Lilah's office. Dekkon stopped and sniffed slightly. Ah, his work was going to be harder. Lilah still carried Wesley's scent.
Lilah moved around the office happily humming to herself. Although they hadn't been together but the one time, Wes and her were at least talking. At night long conversations on the phone. Working at getting their relationship back on a solid footing. she saw Dekkon enter and frowned slightly. That was the only thing that worried her. She enjoyed the night spent in his arms. She enjoyed that he knew her needs without saying a word. This was not going to be easy.
"Did you enjoy your vacation?"
"More than you can imagine," Dekkon smiled.
Lilah smiled back feeling a tinge of jealousy. He seemed so happy and at ease. She missed feeling that way. The only time she really felt like that was when .......not thinking of those times. Wes, keep your mind on Wesley. The man you love.
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself."
"Thank you for giving me the time," Dekkon smiled, leaning against the doorjam. "How was your time without me bothering you?"
"Wesley and i got closer." Lilah smiled at him, wishing that he didn't look so inviting. "He's willing to attempt what I need." She looked down at her papers. "We're taking it slowly."
"Slow is good, especially when one is going against their nature to please the other," Dekkon said calmly. "I hope it works for you."
"I am asking to much of him aren't I?" Lilah didn't look up from her papers. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything Dekkon. I do have some breifs that need typing up."
"I am here more than as clerk," Dekkon said softly. "If both are willing, anything can be accomplished. You are both strong, there is good chance."
"Dekkon." Lilah looked up at him. "I hope so. We love each other. I don't wish to fail him again."
"Then is good," Dekkon smiled. "I will begin catching on typing."
"You look very happy." Lilah smiled as she stood going to the papers that needed to be typed up. "Did you meet a special someone while away?"
"No one I'd take home to muttie," Dekkon grinned. "Nothing special and certainly not your level."
'What is muttie?" Lilah blushed as she looked into his eyes.,"What level would that be Dekkon?"
"The highest," Dekkon smiled softly. "Muttie is... English... Mom, Mommy."
"Aww that sounds so sweet." Lilah handed him the papers pausing in front of him slightly, "I didn't tell Wes about us. I didn't think that would be the wisest thing since you live at the apartments."
"And you wish I not have bloody nose before coming to work?" Dekkon shrugged. "I am your friend and servant if I cannot be Master and lover. You did not swear oath to me."
Lilah shivered as he spoke and looked away. "We don't have clients in today so you should be able to leave early. The business isn't really booming yet."
Dekkon nodded, taking the papers. "As long as you need me, I will be here."
He knew it would take time but Wesley's own stubbornness and lack of experience in the S&M world would send Lilah to the young werewolf eventually.
Lilah smiled, "You could get paid much more if you went ot a larger office. You are very good at your job.'
Walking back to her desk she smiled, "Oh, Ethan hasn't bothered me once since that night. Thank you for taking care of me. I owe you dinner still."
Dekkon shrugged and smiled an impish grin. "Next long night of work."
