I am so annoyed with my finance professor. He is teaching the summer session class like t\a normal fall/spring semester. We have two tests each worth 40% of our grade, and the other 20% is made up of attendance and participation. That is not what is bothering me. He wants to cover 14 chapters in the class. He normally only gets through 13 of those chapters in a normal fall/spring semester. He wants us to cover all 14 in a summer semester, and a shortened class at that. So we are speeding through all this material like crazy. The tests consist of 10 multiple choice questions and 4 problems. Which means no wiggle room if you get one thing wrong. We ask if we can have a formula sheet for the tests, and he says no because "there aren't that many formulas". In reality there are many, and many of the only differ in one or two variables. ARG
I know there are many classes out there that have this set up, and I'm sure I am not the first one to complain. I'm not saying that summer semester classes should be easier, but I don't think he should have added extra material to cover that he usually doesn't get to due to time in a full length semester.
Other than that things are going pretty well. I led a knitting workshop last night, and it was a success! I was very excited. They all wanted a second workshop to learn more stuff. Go me! :-)
i am looking forward to my birthday. 15 days till I'm 21. I'm excited. I'll be heading up/over to Athens for the weekend after my birthday with Scott to do a little partying in Athens and spending the weekend at his house. Maybe I can convince him to take me to the Botanical Gardens again so we can spend some more time there. It was so pretty last time.
Anyway, off to take notes in class and try to learn all this finance that he wants to stuff in my brain.
