This past week I've learned that life can be really tough, but friends
and family make those times easier... and make good times great.
I spent all day with the Palios family last Wednesday, the day of Uncle
John's funeral service and burial. Everyone was pretty much a
mess during the day... but by that night, the cousins and kids were all
re-telling his favorite stories and re-enacting the practical jokes he
used to play at the restaurant. And of course we were eating lots
of food. I think he would have loved it. The course of the
day made me really appreciate the meaning of
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8...
especially 3:4, which is "A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to
mourn and a time to dance." There will no doubt be more time to
weep and mourn... but the good news is, that also means there will be
time to laugh and dance.
