Another summer is gone and Im glad to say that it was my last summer working at Sunsplash and probably my last summer in Cape Coral for a very long time.
Ive been moved into my house in Orlando since the beginning of the month and Im finally moving in full time tomorrow instead of just going there on the weekends. It sucks to be living out of a box in your own home but its only for another day. I have enough money in loans to pay rent for the next year but I dont feel like Ill be financially sound until I find a job. I have literally applied everywhere I could buu everyone says that theyll hire more people once school starts. I really hope thats the case.
That was a week ago.
Today marked the second day of class and I think this college thing wont be so bad afterall. I guess IB was good for something, I ended up with 34 credits and confidence in myself and in the coursework.
My schedule pretty much consists of:
MWF:
-9:30-10:20 College Algebra which is pretty much everything I did freshman/junior/senior year so this should be really easy. I have most of my notes and most of the work is online
-1:30-2:20 Biology 1 which again is everything that Ive done over the past two years in IB. The book, although a different edition, is from the same publishers and has the exact same content of the book we used in IB. I have all my study guides and notes so again this class doesnt seem too difficult.
W:
-11:00ish-1:00ish Biology 1 Lab- easiest shit ever. Again same publisher as our IB book and the labs are EXACTLY THE SAME so I plan on rewording them and then turning them in. If they run turnitin.com it wil come up as my name.
TR:
-7:30-8:45 American History 1877 to present Im going to love this class, the teacher curses every other word and we both love the progressive era and gilded age. WIN! Again I kept all my notes from the last few years and all the textbooks weve had to buy in high school. Coupled with being familiar with the course material I think this class is going to go rather well this semester.
-9:00-10:15 Introduction to Sociology The teacher is literally going to have a baby any freaking day. Its kind of funny, but shes incredibly well educated. Shes got a few different degrees in sociology from her college where she grew up plus two from UF. Holy shit! Her husband and her best friend and her husband are all sociologists and are going to teach the course while shes on leave. This should be a really interesting class.
-10:30-11:45 Intro to Communication. This guy reminds me of an older version of mr schneider. Hes really interesting and wants to make the students interested in the material as well.
Most of the classes are lecture halls except for history but that good. I learn history better when its a smaller environment and we can have discussion on the material.
On another note, Ceecee and I are going to be starting a collab on our college adventures tomorrow. Ill post the youtube link once we get something up there. possible rush tomorrow?rush is next week my bad
