Eurosonic
Eurosonic was awsome, saw quite many bands :D
Thursday we started with Afterhours: an Italian band playing some nice rock. They had some "funny" looking band members and a singer which was spitting in the "sky", so that it rained on himself and some bandmembers... Really disgusting!
After that we went to see Vladimir a Dutch band. Didn't impress me very much, didn't sound special...
Astrid Swan did impress me with her songs, reminded me at Sarah Slean and Fiona Apple.
But I didn't like the hall... everyone had to sit and
she was on a quite high stage and you saw only a head above the piano.
Than we went seeing Another Dutch band, a great one actually! A real own sound, fresh new music.
Really enjoyed it, but the hall was too small... they could hardly move on te stage. But I had a great place to sit, I guess I sat next to their manager :P Behind some buttons to arrange the sound... A great place to make pics!!!
And as last band of the eve we saw Campsite, a nice band: mix from the killers and Franz Ferdinand.
Had a great show, but it wouldn't drive me "wild"
We had another band on the schedule Neisha, but because I had the other day a job interview we decided to skip that one.
Friday our first band was The Robocop kraus, haven't seen much... cause we walked in at the end.
Than we saw Green Lizard. There was a time when I liked it a lot,
but I'm not very keen on it a lot anymore. They really gave their best, but I hoped it would end soon.
After that we saw Zebra, a Dutch singing reggeaband from Groningen... and that SUCKED!
The lyrics were crap, the voice of the singer wasn't a reggea voice... It was horrible!
Woodface was really good! You could hear a k's choice sound in it,
but that isn't really strange when you know Gert Bettens is the frontman.
Pete Philly... hiphop with some soul, not really my taste. But his voice was nice...
One luck I didn't had to hear it long they were too late and had 10 minutes left to play :D
Than it was time for my heroes -> wir sind helden! The plato store was awsomely full... I guess it was never such full by an instore! I've made some small video's :D Anyway after they played I got signatures :D
I gave them my marker, so that they could give signature to other fans :)
And at 20.00 we went to the Woodface concert... loved the camera's! not really. Concert was great, gege took the playlist after the show :)
Than we walked to the otherside of the Huizemaas were Charlee Dee would play. There I saw someone I didn't want to see, so I was hiding behind my bro. That man were I was hiding for, I've seen before at the Beth Hart concert and majo and I couldn't get rid of him. Anyway Charlee Dee was quite ok, but I wouldn't buy a cd... Btw I'm not sure but when I'm right the guitarplayer is Martijn van Agt (Anouk's guitarplayer)
After that show we went to Minerva and because my back an neck were killing me we sat a long time... and than we decided to wait for Wir sind helden at the mainstage and I was glad we did. We have seen Fettes Brott, was quite ok... and we met some Dutch people who were also in the afternoon by the wir sind helden concert and the funny fact was, we knew each other by net... We discovered that by changing the emailaddresses for sharing the pics! So that was really funny :D
Wir sind Helden was awsome! There were some camera's and some mic's to record the audience...
one right infront of me :P After the show I got the setlist, waterbottle and a plectrum.
After that concert our eve ended and we went home,
cause my neck was killing me and everything started to hurt...
