Costume Confusion

I got my first coin scarf a few weeks ago, and amazingly I chose the light orange (it's sort of marigold in color) and silver instead of the dark teal with gold. I liked the look and sound of the light orange belt better. But I don't usually wear orange clothing so I'm relatively inexperienced with what goes with orange.

My issue is ... building a costume that will look good with it. I have a black skirt and a black choli already because often that's the base to a uniform look in our troupe. I also have a pretty watercolor dyed veil that goes from brilliant orange to light to an earthy mossy tan/gray.

The problem is building something uniquely me for those numbers where the instructor says to pull out our unique and fun outfits and do a costume change.

Given I don't have tons of cash to do this, I figured I'd start with the light orange hip scarf and veil and just find a pretty skirt and/or harem pants and a choli to match. I'd just like an actual costume change when it's time to ... change costumes.

But what colors go with light orange? This is where I get hung up.

I've considered dark purple, an earthy green, a dark brown, light pink?, what other colors go with light orange? I guess I can't seem to get a fully consolidated idea in my head so I go "yes! that's my vision!"

Here's a picture for those that are curious.
