doomed

If history has taught me anything its that the Dumb, the Strong, the Rich & the Ignorant tend to be the ones "in charge." They have their needs suited to. And the rest of us...we're just pawns. Working, hoping that one day, we'll live the sweet life.

People say that things can be changed. Some say its through revolution. Others say you have to use the system to change the system. The only thing I know is very little has changed since Egyptians enslaved individuals to build their pyramids to suit their gods. Which brings us to today...governments bribe their citizens to join their army of defense so they can protect the elite's way of life. The elite being the extremely wealthy and the extremely powerful. The rest of us are just pawns.

Is all this to say that we are incapable of living happy lives? No, it's not. But, to me, it begs the question of what are we really working towards? And are we lying to ourselves about it?

Personally, I still have no idea what I want most out of this life. And I really fucking wish I did. It would sure make decision making a hell of a lot easier. The only thing I know is that I'm not afraid to take risks and I enjoy changes of scenery. However, I also feel it's very important to stay busy and to not get bored. It's also nice to have friends along the way, as well.

Overall, I think it's just a cruel joke that we humans have all this "potential" but we have no idea what to do with it. And the cruelest part about it is that we're AWARE of this fact. I'm not here to make any profound statements. Just to pose questions in hopes of finding answers. So that's all that was on my mind this Wednesday night......................sha-zam.
