More than a little creepy... Arch Enemy
I first listened to Arch Enemy (Swedish Melodic/Death Metal) about a year ago, and I never realized that all the heavy, death-metal lyrics were sung by a female vocalist. Honestly I never listened to them enough to even look into it much. About a week ago, leafing through a CD's cover booklet, I saw that Angela Gossow was their only listed vocalist. I find it a little disturbing how masculine he voice sounds in AE's music, however I guess thats more of a testament to soundboards than anything else, and its good nonetheless to see chicks into metal.
