We've Got to Stop Meeting Like This

Mar 05, 2010 01:08

It is one a.m, but I'm ridiculously happy. I've just written another 2000 words (2662 to be exact ~!) of Best Girl. Obviously, I should prioritise sleep a little higher, though this is so much fun!

Will do management and business tax notes tomorrow. Before writing again. Again! Squee!

Oh, and I can share. Yes, this is greatly unedited. Probably grammatically incorrect. Possibly not making much sense.

Fern’s pretty sure what she’s currently feeling isn’t love at first sight. The new boy’s eyes are deep set, dark to the verge of black. The only description that pop’s to Fern’s mind about his hair is ‘smog’, an undecided colour between brown and grey; at least he has a lot of it. He’s tall, on the side of wiry. He doesn’t walk, he saunters. His chin has an unusual cleft. Almost like a bum.

At the very thought, Fern chokes a little. Oh, she’s far from falling in love at first sight, though he’s definitely not unattractive. Bum chin regardless, he’s quite good looking.

The boy sinks into his assigned seat. He shoots a look at Fern and smiles.
The dent in his chin deepens. Fern has to bite her lip to stop herself laughing out loud. She nods back civilly.
