Lady Katherine,

I do think that the song "Pop is Dead" makes the album, although I believe it would be even more fantastic at the beginning. Indulge me for a moment, and imagine:

PERSON WITH RADIOHEAD CD: Oh, this seems pretty cool... I think I'll listen to it now.

PERSON WITH RADIOHEAD CD begins playing cd.

PERSON WITH RADIOHEAD CD: OH SWEET MOTHER OF SATAN!!!!

POP IS DEAD ends and the next song begins.

PERSON WITH RADIOHEAD CD: What the fuck?

If there is a more beautiful and sure way to create a bond between a human being and the creepy crawly radiohead music, I simply do not know it.

ok seriously. i like it, except for these two things:

you, my dear, cannot spell. and i hate you for it. sharpening my spork right now.

also, something about the order doesn't hit my right. climbing up the walls as a first track? and street spirit not as a closer?? c'mon: "immerse your soul in love," where else could that go but the end? bwah. plus, how is there no room for 2+2=5 and yet you can have punchup on there? anyway it is my own freakish ideals, so you can ignore me. plus i am going to listen to those songs like that and see if the order hits me better when i actually hear the songs. but because i am waiting to be picked up right now and thus have nothing better to do, here is a thought for an alternative order (which may or may not be better... really this is just a time-waster).

POP IS DEAD (bwah. send this as an mp3 over AIM instead, and be all "THIS IS A TASTE OF THE MAGICAL MUSIC YOU MAY SOON ENCOUNTER!!!! IS IT NOT LIKE THE DUST OF FAIRIES???")
2+2=5
IN LIMBO
KARMA POLICE
OPTIMISTIC
ELECTIONEERING
HUNTING BEARS
CLIMBING UP THE WALLS
NATIONAL ANTHEM
SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK ALIEN
JUST
YOU AND WHOSE ARMY?
WHERE I END AND YOU BEGIN
MY IRON LUNG
THE TOURIST
WOLF AT THE DOOR
STREET SPIRIT

actually, scratch that, it's worse. the first half is too up. eh. maybe later.
also, in case you love reading radiohead tracklists as much as i do, here is one i made for my brother a year or so ago. he specifically wanted radiohead songs with a political point of view, so i scared this up fer him and packed it all pretty with a lovely quote from thom yorke (my favourite political comment from an artist ever, i think). i put the years and albums on in case he fell in love with an era and wanted to know more. here it is:

a selection of radiohead songs with some sort of sociopolitical theme

1. 2+2=5 (2003; Hail to the Thief)
2. Maquiladora (1996; High and Dry single)
3. Follow Me Around (unreleased)
4. You and Whose Army? (2001; Amnesiac)
5. Myxomatosis (2003; Hail to the Thief)
6. Polyethylene (1998; Airbag/How am I Driving? EP)
7. Dollars and Cents (2001; Amnesiac)
8. The National Anthem (2000; Kid A)
9. I Will (2003; Hail to the Thief)
10. Idioteque (2000; Kid A)
11. Gagging Order (2003; Go to Sleep single)
12. Pearly* (1998; Airbag/How am I Driving? EP)
13. The Gloaming (2003; Hail to the Thief)
14. Optimistic (2000; Kid A)
15. Electioneering (1997; OK Computer)
16. Wolf at the Door (2003; Hail to the Thief)
17. Palo Alto (1998; Airbag/How am I Driving? EP)
18. Life in a Glasshouse (2001; Amnesiac)

not that i am telling you to use this, because it had a wholly different purpose, but i like looking at it... and it was probably the only compliment cameron has ever given me when he said "you really thought out that tracklist, didn't you?" anyway this comment is becoming tediously long, and my ride is here, so i will give you a holla next time i roll through your hood...

turns out it was not my ride, but the mailman. stupid dog!

ok! when i listened to it i liked it lots better. so now my only suggestion is to rip out punchup, fit in 2+2=5 (as track one, preferably), and do a little restructuring to make that change flow. although i still want street spirit as the closer instead of track 4. you and whose army is a good track 4... mmkay no. no. no. stop now.

anyway, my time-wasting list was really crap, so ignore it plz. kthx.

this is so the end of me commenting
