-CHAPTER 22-

“Hi Yunho oppa~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~”the girls said in an almost perfect unison.

Okay.  Freaky.  I mean, I thought that things like these only happened in dramas, but no.  I guess it’s actually possible in reality.

Yunho went to sit between on one edge.

“Oppa~ ~ Come sit closer to us~ ~ ~” A girl in the middle with Yoochun said.  Yunho glared at Yoochun who looked back at him with a pleading look.  Yunho sighed.

“Alright, someone turn on the karaoke…” he said and left me and Junsu standing there like two trees.

“Ooo, who’s this guy, he’s cute!” a girl said and pulled Junsu down to sit with them.  Junsu looked really awkward as she pulled him and left me standing there, alone….which actually made me quite happy, unlike him.  I feel like I should help him though.

“Excuse me” a male voice said on the far other side of the room, I looked in that direction and there it was, as expected, yet another good looking guy.

“Who, me?” I pointed at myself.

“Ah yes,” he said in a calm polite manner.  He then got up, walked all the way to me and shook hand with me “Hello, my name is Siwon.  Nice to meet you” he said, bowing a little bit too low for common courtesy.  *

*(for those who don’t know, the more respectful you are in Korean culture, the lower you bow though going below 90°s is a little bit extreme o-o.  15° , 45° and 90° )

“Ah yes, I’m Jaejoong nice to meet you too-“ I said and tried to imitate his bow, but ended up bumping my head on his.  The people in the room, except for Yunho and Yoochun looked at us weird, which actually isn’t so bad.

“Oh sorry!  Are you alright?” he said, putting a hand on my shoulder and another one on the side of his head even though I was the one who made the mistake.

“Y-yeah…” I said confusedly, thinking that he would have thrown a demonic rich guy fit, but no.  He then used the hand that was on my shoulder to greet Junsu in the same way he greet me, his other hand on the side of his head, still.  When he was done, he attended back to me again.

“Jaejoong-sshi, why don’t you sit down?” he gestured the empty space next to the girl who had her arm around Junsu’s.

“Ah, that’s okay, I feel like stretching my legs a little.  It was a long car ride” I said with a smile.  I wonder why the hell this Siwon guy is hanging out with Yoochun and Yunho.  He’s too polite and well mannered to be with these douches.  At my words, Yunho looked at me with a frown, but I ignored him.

“Oh ok.  Just don’t be shy when you want to sit down” he said, bowed and walked back to sit at his seat.

The two girls that were around Junsu pushed themselves further in their seats or rather, they were doing it to get away from me.  Junsu shot me a pleading look.  Alright fine you poor thing, I’ll help you.

“Ok, enough leg stretching!” I said, and inserted myself shamelessly between Junsu and one of the girls.  The two of them backed away and went to sit with Siwon instead.  Siwon seemed nervous with the two girls at his sides.  He just put his hands on his knees and sat there stiffly.

“Wow, look at all this space!  Let’s move closer then!” I said, pulling Junsu with me to the point of being right next to the girl next to Yoochun.  That girl was grasping onto Yoochun’s arm tightly.

“Sup” I said to her, waving dumbly at her.  She just ignored me.  It looks like this night is going to be more fun that I thought.

“So what do you guys want to drink?” Yoochun asked everyone, laughing uncomfortably.  I I think that everybody quickly chose some kind of alcohol because what they took sounded either fancy or exotic.  Junsu and me were the only ones left.

“A big pitcher of water for me please” I said.

“You want… a pitcher…?” Yoochun asked.  I nodded.

“…and a cup would be nice too” I added.

“O…kay… what about you Junsu?” Yoochun asked Junsu who froze as his crush talked to him.

“I… um…” he shifted nervously.

“He’ll have the same thing as me” I answered for him.  Yoochun didn’t look happy about that.

“Hey, let the dude have what he wants, okay?  You’re not his mom!” Yoochun said and everybody in the room except Junsu and Siwon started laughing.

“I… um…” Junsu stuttered.  He is lucky that the lights here are dim; otherwise everybody would see the fiery blush that’s probably on his face right now.

“Did you ever try soju?” Yoochun suggested.  Right now I wish for once that my hair wasn’t in the way so that I could shoot him a deadly glare.

“I… no… I never… um…”

“Then why don’t you try some of that?” Yoochun said with a smile.  The worst part is that he sounded genuinely friendly while saying all that which shows just how stupid he must be.  I mean, giving alcohol to a minor?!  And he’s a minor too!  On top of that, he’s Junsu!  Frigging Junsu!  You can’t corrupt Junsu like that!

“Well… I…” Junsu looked unsure.  He looked at me, then Yoochun, then back at me.

“Oh c’mon!  You’d be so much cooler if you were able to drink!” Yoochun said and a few girls agreed with him.  Yunho looked neutral; he was busy with the karaoke machine and Siwon was still very stiff.

“O-okay then…” Junsu said, probably changed his mind by the fact that Yoochun said that he’d be cool. Damn that Yoochun, why did Junsu have to have a crush on such a dumbass, ughhhhh.

Too bad I have principles and that one of them is that love usually stays between two people so either you help or you bug out.  And I think I’d rather help than bug out in Junsu’s desperate case.

“So girls, any one of you wanna sing a song with me?” Yoochun asked and the girls squealed for… well actually I don’t know why they squealed; Yoochun is a dumbass and not at all squeal worthy I find.

They started singing.  Yoochun was okay at singing I guess, nothing special though.

Soon, the drinks arrived and were placed in front of us.  Yoochun and three girls came back and sat down after they finished singing. The four of them singing together sounded like crap.  They would have been better off solo except for this one girl who is scarily off pitch.

We were all holding our drinks now.  To scare the girl next to me, I decided to pick up the whole pitcher and drink directly from that.  Of course, there’s nothing really scary about that, but I have a feeling that she’d probably get scared anyways.

“A toast to all these beautiful ladies here” Yoochun said in a very cheesy way.  I wrinkled my nose; he is so darn straight, how can Junsu even like a guy like this?

The people raised their cups and drank, but before Junsu could, I grabbed his cup and tossed the content onto the floor discreetly; it’s dark so who’s going to see it anyways.  Good thing soju cups are small.  I then quickly put some water inside; it’s the same color so nobody would know.  Then, I put the cup back into Junsu’s hand.

“Drink slowly” I whispered to him “and try to act like it’s spicy” I advised, recalling the faces that people made in those dramas when they drank soju.

“Junsu-sshi?” Yoochun asked “aren’t you going to drink yours?” he said, gesturing Junsu’s cup.

“O-oh… yes” Junsu said and drank the fake soju in one shot.  I face palmed myself as the other people in the room stared at Junsu, eyes wide, probably expecting him to start coughing madly or something.

“Oh wow!  T-this is spicy!” Junsu said, sticking his tongue out and fanning it with his hand.  The people around him were silent for a second and then started cheering except for Siwon.

“Whoooo!  You go dude!” Yoochun said, presenting his palm to Junsu for a high five.

“Wow, that’s some nice alcohol tolerance you got there, cutie~” the girl next to Siwon said, winking at Junsu who accepted it shyly.  I didn't know that there are girls out there who appreciate alcohol tolerance...wow.

Junsu you cute dummy!  Why didn’t you tell me you couldn’t act for shit?
