Typical life-Chapter 3

~Chapter 3~

I thought that Mimi would never stop giggling.  While waiting for her to finish, I chewed on a snack bar.

“Tehehehehe… like… omygosh!” she said, jiggling in excitement.

“Yea, you bet it’s omygosh!  Should I just ditch him randomly?” I asked her.

It took her a few seconds to stop being hysterical.  She straightened herself up.

“Aherm.  Why would you do that?” she asked, raising her eyebrows.

“Cause of that hyung complex thing I told you about!” I lamented in desperation.

“It’s not a hyung complex, you pabo.  He just sounds like he’s flirting with you, geez” Mimi said, rolling her eyes.

“No”

“Yes!”

“No…wait…really?”

“Yes!  You dim douchebag!”

I thought about it for a second.

“No, no, no.  I think I should remain sceptical about this.  Imagine if he was straight, but just very loving in general and that he was like that to most people.  Wouldn’t that be embarrassing?” I asked, grimacing.

“Uhhh… what?” Mimi said, confused.

“Okay, what if he had an ulterior motive?” I suggested.  Those things always happen when life is too good to you for no reason.

“Oh, you mean like getting in your pan-“

“Mimi!” I stopped her from finishing her sentence “No!  I mean if he was nice to me because he wanted to use me for something?  You know?”

“You mean… like a sex object?” Mimi said and burst out in laughter.  Usually Mimi is good at giving advices, but not when she’s on her humour streak.  She prioritizes humour before helping a friend in need.

“You’re so not helping…” I said with a tired look on my face.

“Yes, but I’m having so much funnnn!” she said and started giggling uncontrollably again.

Sigh.

School finished.  Going to go eat with Mimi.  She finally agreed to stop teasing me after I blackmailed to ignore her until she does.  Ohohoho!  Blackmail is awesome.  That is, when it’s not used on you, obviously.

“Maybe you should respond to some of the flirtatious signs he’s giving you” Mimi said, in all honesty this time.  Well, she was probably thinking about how to tease me in her head as soon as the opportunity shows.

“I find that too risky” I told her, looking at my menu, contemplating to have dessert today too.

“Hmph, coward” she said with a pout.

“I’m just cautious” I said, drinking some tap water they’ve given us.

“You’re no fun… Speaking of which, why did you act like a total idiot in front of him?” she asked.

“Dude, you have no idea how hard it is to be settled in front of him.  Because he’s just so…” I trailed off.

“Sexy?  Hot? Into you?” she said suggestively and started laughing all over again.

People in the restaurant looked at our table, saw that Mimi was a foreigner, nodded to themselves and looked away.  They’re probably thinking “Oh, she’s a foreigner so it’s normal for her to be promiscuous”

Mimi however has a theory that everybody is horny and that some people are just more repressed than others.  Except for me apparently; I’m just too lost in life to be horny.  If that even makes any sense.

“Hello Jaejoong oppa!” a high pitch female voice said out of nowhere.

“Aigoomylord!” I said, jumping a little as a prepubescent girl popped out of seemingly nowhere.

“Wow, that isn’t freaky at all” Mimi said sarcastically, but the little girl ignored her by very purposely looking away from her so much that it looked like something was pushing her head on the side when she looked at me.  Freaaaaaky.  In fact, she was trying so hard to ignore Mimi, she was acknowledging her more than anything.  Actually, how can you ignore something if you don’t acknowledge it in the first place?  Paradox much?

“It’s like the third time that you eat at this restaurant this week!” the young girl said as she giggled.  Ooookay, she remembered the numbers of time I ate here.  Even I don’t remember the number of times I ate here.

“Well… bye!” she said, and waved like an idiot before running out of the restaurant.  Also like an idiot.

Me and Mimi exchanged a glance, then we both shrugged and dug into our orders which have just arrived.

Back at home.  On my computer, checking my comments.

Intogaystuff says : “Wow this chapter had sooo much homosexuality inside!  I LOVE IT!  I feel like it’s written by a gay person!  Update soon bb~ MUAH!”

Should I reply to this?  Hm… nah…

Mimi says: “You spelled parallel wrong.  It doesn’t take two ‘r’s  and only takes one ‘l’”

I sighed.  I would reply to this, but there are more important things at hand than changing a simple spelling mistake!  Something big is potentially happening in my life right now and I need to do something about it!

..

There is nothing I can do about it.  Not now anyways.  Oh well.

I shrugged and went to correct the work parallel in my fic.  Why did I use that word anyways?!

I wrote “And the walked in parallel of each other”.  Woah, that’s so technical and unromantic!  What was I thinking of when I posted that?

Probably nothing since it was 4 am.

I think I’ll just watch a drama now.  It should distract me from real life which coincidentally is also like a drama at the moment.

~ ~ ~

The drama didn’t work.  The male lead wasn’t even as hot as Yunho, which is kind of sad.  How am I supposed to fantasize about having a kingka boyfriend when I know a kingka in real life and he’s better looking than the one in the fantasy?!

Thanks a lot Yunho.  Thanks a loooot.  I hope you’re happy, you fantasy-killer.

He probably IS happy now, considering how awesome he is.  Objectively awesome, according to society’s standards of course.

~ ~ ~

ZzzzzzzZzzzzzZzzzzz

“Oh shit!  Time for school!” I muttered as my eyes snapped open.

“Oh, double shit!” I said when I saw Yunho’s face in front of me.  What the hell was he doing in my room?!  Oh wait… I’m in the bus…and Yunho is sitting in the seat in front of me.

People around me looked at me disapprovingly for being so loud early in the morning.

“Slept well?” he asked with a little smile, one arm resting on the back of his seat and the other holding a half-eaten breakfast sandwich.

Obviously not.  In fact, I slept horribly because of him!  Unless I’m still dreaming now…?  He does looks really dream-like right now and the morning glow on his skin looks particularly ethereal…

“Yo dude, are you real?” I asked, squinting at him.

“Why?  Did I ask something obvious?” he said, raising his eyebrows.  Hm… is it possible to be this charming so early in the morning?  It isn’t for me anyhow…

“No I mean, are you material… like as opposed to um… immaterial?” I said without much energy.  This probably is a dream since I can’t really control the amount of stupid that’s coming out of my mouth at the moment.

“You mean… like if I am an illusion?” he asked, looking very amused.  He then smiled at me.  His teeth were so white in contrast with his nicely tanned skin.  It’s quite breathtaking.

“Something like that…anyways… can you just pinch me so I can be sure that I’m not dreaming and accidentally miss school?” I said, not able to stare away from his handsome face with my sleepy eyes.

He thought for a second, and then gave me a gentle pinch on my cheek.  I almost didn’t feel it.  It felt…like a warm marshmallow-y thing brushing against my face.

“Oh… so it’s a dream then” I said and then closed my eyes again.  Zzzzzzzz.

~ ~ ~

“Jaejoong, wake up”

“Hmmmgmmmgm?” I said, opening my eyes slowly.  It was such a nice dream.

“Jaejoong, we’re going to be there soon” Yunho said to me, shaking me gently.  Oh, I guess I should wake up then…

Wait WHAT?!

My eyes snapped open and I stared into Yunho’s eyes who stared back a little bit confused.  He was crouched down on me so his face was really close.

It wasn’t a dream!  Holy shit!

“Uhh… you?  Did I say stupid things to you?” I asked him.  Oh wait… that was a stupid thing to say too…

In fact, everything I’ve ever said to him was stupid except maybe “Hey, I’m Jaejoong”.

He chuckled.

“I’ll tell you once we get down the bus, okay?” he said helped me up my chair.  It was after I got up that I realized how pointless it was to help a person get up from a chair.  I mean I know he sees me as weak, but what am I now?  A crippled?  I think I’ll start taking taekwondo classes.  I’m not kidding.

~ ~ ~

“About earlier…” I said embarrassedly.

“Mmm, you’re cheek was really soft…” he said with a content look on his face.  He was wearing a thin jacket and had his hands in his pocket.

Okay, so all of that shit did happen.  Damn.  I bet he’s just happy he has a dongsaeng with cheeks he can squish for anti-stress purposes.  I better change the subject quick.

“So!  How come a sort of rich guy like you doesn’t drive to school?” I asked him.

“Mmm… I like to walk in the morning and inhale some fresh air” he said “it’s nice”.

“Ah.  That’s nice.  But wait, don’t you train in the gym in the morning?” I asked him with a squint.

Then Yunho had this weird reaction.  He looked at the floor and had an embarrassed grin on his face.  Like the kind of face that you make when you’ve been caught for doing something.

“Yea” he said, licking the corner of his lips nervously “I do” he then did that embarrassed grin thing again and pressed his lips together.

Ooookay…?

“I guess that nobody trains EVERYDAY then, hahaha” I said “you’re already quite fit so I guess one day won’t kill you either”

That made him look awkward.

“Um… thanks…”

“Well anyhow, I gotta go to class.  See ya, man!”               I said and accidentally put emphasis on the “man”, making me sound like a douche yet once again.  Darn!  One day.  One day I will get this right!

As soon as I started to walk away, Yunho called me.

“Jaejoong, wait a sec!” he said and caught up to me in a few quick strode.  I looked at him with a questioning look.

“Can you give me your number?”

~ ~ ~

“So you gave him your number?” Mimi said, looking as if she knew this was going to happen anyways.

“Well yea.  It’s not like I could have said ‘NO!’ and run away or something” I said with a shrug.

“Well, that’s good then” Mimi said casually.

“What do mean ‘good’?  It’s terrible!” I exclaimed.

“It’s not terrible you pabo!  You’re being paranoid!  The dude likes you and that’s all!  Plus he’s super hot so stop complaining!” she said and punched me on the arm.

“But that’s not possible, I’m not even good looking!  … am I?” I asked her.  Mimi never told me much about my looks except that I should take care of it more.

“You’re… uh…” Mimi said awkwardly.

“Ahhh, just say it!  I don’t care if you say that I’m ugly!” I whined.  I honestly didn’t care as long as I’d got a definite answer.

“Ok fine, but listen well as I will only say this ONCE” she said and took a deep breath.  I looked at her intently as I waited for my answer.

“Yes” she finally said with a huff.

“Huh?!  Then why didn’t you say so before?” I said in confusion.

“Cause you’re gay.  And my friend.  But mostly gay” she said with an awkward ‘I-can’t-believe-I’m-saying-this’ face.

“Oh… well this is awkward then…” I said, fidgeting a little.

“Yes, yes it is” she said and punched me on the arm again.  It kind of hurt this time too.

A/N: Hello reader people!  Just leaving a message to tell you that the character of Mimi is inspired by one of my best pals in real life who also happens to write fics and her username is love_joongie so check out her fics yo!  She's funny!  So ya, this is like... propaganda and stuff so BE INFLUENCED!  Basically, me and my friend have these kind of random interactions when we go to school together and we can go on with random thoughts for hours.  I just thought it would be funny to put those in a fic.  And Yunho in this fic might probably a combination of everything that we find hot in a dude.  So yay!  This fic is super easy to write because of this!
