A man in a van neglected to heed the overhead clearance cautionary in the drive-through car wash today and proceeded to get stuck in it as I idled behind him in line, watching watery soap lines disengage and spill forth. Finally I went into the gas station and asked for a refund for the prepaid wash I purchased with my tank of gasoline. The van driver came in to admit the mess after he had no choice -- the van had practically wedged itself in there and was not letting him free. He seemed to be slightly mentally retarded. The burly attendant called him “Maaan” profusely and was rather pleasant in the face of something so frustrating. “You broke my car wash Maaan?”
Living in this world sometimes makes me so sad.
