Two drabbles in this. The first is awkward and funny in a cute way; Taeyang's thought process was handled really well and the little reactions Dara has to his inexperience are very much on point. The second drabble has CL and Dara commiserating over their bad luck. It's over-the-top and cracky in a way that suits the pair's personality.

I loved the writing style in this. Literary devices were sprinkled in at just the right times and the prose was very subtle; I enjoyed the almost muted tone of the characters' personalities and seeing the way they interacted with each other in the AU setting. I think a fic like this takes a few reads to get, because although it seems simple on the surface there are a lot of things that pop out at you as you continue.

I love fics where the creative process is taken apart, and this is no exception. cranperryjuice used different tracks on Taeyang's Solar to explore Teddy and Taeyang's relationship as they record the album, and I just love how realistic everything feels. The dialogue in particular caught me, and I found myself easily visualizing each scene in my head; nothing felt forced at all.

The 1920's aren't an era often visited by K-Pop writers, but this was pulled off so well. cokecane has an eye for images: yellow chiffon, blackberry-colored hair, patterns in tile. She switches up the familiar G-TOP dynamics and makes them her own; somehow even in this setting their individual personalities come through.
