Hmm, following a day on my face…
Bloody migraine, where did you come from? I’ve been so careful about food, caffeine, and everything else. Maybe you just thought it was time I had company? Grr.
You have a dark witches/wizards blood. You are
powerful and a lot of people confuse you and
the light witches/wizards. You are kind,
gentle, and open minded but can have a
temper. You are very powerful and that is why
people categorize you as the dark
witch/wizard. You use your abilities wisely.
What runs in your blood veins? brought to you by
Quizilla And I’m wondering, did I take this before? Sure, in a game, I’ll hunt anyone, and the more challenging the better - we old wargamers are like that - but dark? Kids, the theory of power corrupting is true, but if you have power (say wargaming skills) the way you avoid corruption is by keeping things friendly. I’ve seen games where people take every little petty thing personally, and it’s insane. Winning and loosing, unless your life or livelihood is at stake doesn’t matter.
I love martial arts, I love war gaming, I love a lot of things that other perceive as violent, crazed, and whatever. Ethics! Being of sound mind, I don’t hurt people. In practice, careful is the goal, safety is the goal. I’ve been in fights where I had to win - Russia was bad like that for getting attacked - and that’s a different matter, but you go home after something like that, you think, “Oh crap, I broke the milk.” You get on with life.
So, take a quiz like this. Dark wizardry? Meh. Power doesn’t = corruption automatically. It just makes corruption that much easier. Pay attention, in other words. Got food on your table in abundance? Share. Got skills? Teach. Put those skills to good use. Got skills that can hurt people? Use them so you don’t hurt people, share those skills - and plan! Don’t put yourself in a situation where, by fear or attack, you’re stuck using skills that can hurt people.
And when bad stuff does happen, if you’ve done everything you can to avoid conflict, if you’ve tried to keep yourself and others safe, and if you’re pinned down - win. Thing is, that sorta life and death crap can be avoided. I minimized my target-ness in Russia as hard as I could, and even then got attacked. When I determined I couldn’t stay there safely (and other factors) I came home.
War sucks. If you can get off the field, do so.

Coffee, ground baking chocolate and cocoa powder, brown sugar, and milk. Heat hot, drink hot by the pot. Headache, I kick you in the headache!
…Because as near as I can tell the headache’s anatomy is my own, and while I can kick myself in the head pretty well - flexibility is wonderful - that only adds to the pain. Kicking is thus limited to the idea of headache, and coffee + creative visualization seems to work.
Might I add that I’m disturbed to find visualization works at all, and even more disturbed to discover that nearly every form of what I’ve used for meditation has been some visualization structure? Bloody new age maundering without scientific basis, and I find that a lot of the new age BS turns out to be another name for something I’ve been doing for ages, with plenty of scientific study behind it. Different words for same concepts.
Pain management. I’m typing now because some part of the mind is editing out a headache - which works because the headache is less now. I feel like an idiot.
