Driving Permit

Apr 28, 2009 19:13

So five years after I first got my driving permit when I was 18 (can you tell I'm not interested in driving?), I finally got another permit to try again since I did nothing to learn how to drive the first time.  It's still not my idea but with going back to school and it being more likely that I'll be living with my grandparents off campus, I'll have to learn.  I still really want to look into getting a dorm.

The thing that irks me is that I actually studied this time for the test, I even did actual reading beyond just skimming (ok I skimmed some parts) and I still missed the same number of questions that I missed last time when I didn't study.

POINTLESS!

I just don't want to drive and I think people on the road would feel much safer if I weren't driving just as I would not being on the road.  I'm cool with public transportation and I get that bumming rides can be annoying to my friends so I can live with not going out much.  In fact I like not going out much.  I'm a perfectly happy homebody and I can walk to places when I need something.

Just because I'm not the average person, doesn't mean I'm not well adjusted.

Let me walk, dammit!  (or live near everything I need)
