Christmas, this and that

So the best holiday came and went for another year. I bought my Mom a "Christmas rose" this year and think it's going to be my new tradition - she's the embodiment of year round Christmas spirit - always trying to make things special for the rest of us. I bought the best tree on my way home from my office Christmas party (on the 22nd - I was 2 days early this year :) ) from a lot at a church in Dearborn that I pass everyday I work. They had just gone to all trees half price and I had been worried because I had tried 3 places near my house the day before and they were all out or had crap. My decorations are beautiful and all come on and dim up/down at the touch of a button - I will keep them up until my family forces their removal :)

Had various fun family and friend times and that's what Christmas is all about. Got some nice stuff - its always nice to be thought of by others. I enjoy giving though. My best move was giving my sister a bunch of presents and I initially just gave Joe a plunger cause he wanted stuff for his house!!! (Erin got a scented candle and air freshner but those were gag gifts.) I actually still have some stuff to pass out that I didn't have with me when I saw people.

Let's see other stuff:
Joe and I helped Granny prepare for all of us on Christmas Eve. I busted through an ice dam on the roof and Dad had a lot more time at home this year over break which was cool because we did things like stay up tonight and watch a movie that only we would like and we drove out to Warren to meet Joe for lunch to as Sue put it: "nerd gab".
Brad helped me (and by that I mean he did it and I mostly watched but learned some stuff)put a remote starter in my parent's van for Christmas.
Said goodbye to Dave - I wish him the best and I'll miss him. We had a few more good times in Europe today - lets just say fire may or may not have been involved :)
Got Sue some carnations for her birthday on the 28th then the four of us went out to celebrate that and the fact that Joe and Erins bid on their house was accepted!
and on New Years Eve my poor family had to endure my moping....I'm actually optimistic..I just get into a "funk" every now and again.
Saw the Hines Park Christmas lights on the last day I could and what is with the weather - all the beautiful snow has melted.

that's my update...
