as you may know, not long ago r. kelly and jay-z made and album together called 'the best of both worlds', featuring, naturally, r. kelly's r & b singing accompanied by jay-z's rapping.

i think that a better, more progressive idea would be 'the best of both worlds, part 2', this time featuring noam chomsky, the man "credited with the creation of the theory of generitive grammar, considered to be one of the most significant contributions to the field of theoretical linguistics made in the 20th century" (according to wikipedia), and r. kelly.  it would be a great way for r. kelly to regain credibility that he has lost among fans recently due to his court troubles and expand his fan base, and offer an opportunity for higher academia to be made attractive to young people.

it would work very simply, much in the same way that the jay-z and r. kelly collaboration worked.  just have r. kelly singing lusty club lyrics accompanied by recordings of chomsky's spoken lectures over hip-hop and synthesized soul beats, with tracks like:

'catesian linguistics/bump n' grind'
'syntactic structures/give a thug a hug'
'the responsibility of the intellectual/like a real freak'
'failings of behaviorism/feelin' on yo booty'

just an idea.
