So last night I watched 28 Days Later
While ironing.
There's something deeply weird about watching nekkid!Cillian Murphy running away from very very scary people while trying to get your clothes in some sort of wearable condition. And for some reason I kept forgetting to actually move the iron.
But I liked it. A lot. Some moments of real beauty and stillness around the nightmare and carnage. The music was perfect. I'm glad jubilancy and oneangrykate talked me into it. I'm still thinking about it. And about slapping my daughter, who reassured me, "Don't worry, Frank won't get attacked" during one particular nail-biting moment.
Now when the hell is Breakfast on Pluto coming to Ottawa?
In other news, almostnever mused on the necessity of Elijah someday playing Byron.
