GIP: Bedhead love
I watched Everything is Illuminated on a giant home theatre screen with friends Friday night who kept asking why they'd never heard of the movie when it was "one of the best they'd seen all year" and ended the evening listening to them sing the praises of Liev, Elijah and Eugene.
And the night before that was the delightful Breakfast on Pluto with alchemilla and lilithilien, and realizing that even when I was 20 and somewhat hot, I was still frumpy compared to the beauteous Cillian Murphy. Aside: the repertory theatre of my university days has been updated, painted and now has working toilets!
Now I'm trying not to think about how far behind I am in everything, and finding solace in the fact that I managed to clean the kitchen AND bathroom AND cat litter this weekend, plus even make my bed this morning. Even if I didn't get dressed until Sunday.
Best of all? Finally took down the Christmas wreath. I figured it was time. :)
Everyone who knows and loves her, please send good thoughts alchemilla_'s way as she starts her new job today! I've just discovered that she'll be working for a program that my colleagues and I love to hate (or at least bitch about behind their backs), so OMG I'm hoping our friendship survives. ;)
ETA: We only bitch about the web guys in the program, so I'm pretty sure we're safe. Whew!
