Okay, here is my bowing to the pressure to spew my thoughts across the internet instead of letting them stew inside for weeks. That used to get me in trouble, in the good old days. Besides, I think my journal is lonely just being a repository for all the fic I want to remember.
Today's basics: Harry Potter= good.
Saw the movie, movie was good. Except I also wish there had been more Tonks (because I think she'd be funny) Lupin, (because the actor fit my idea of him so much better in this one with the faint scratches across the face and being a bit heftier, plus the awesome "appear in the white light" freeze on him for a second) and Ginny. On the last, we only see her looking sad when Cho is mentioned, and then nothing happens and she disappears. And then just as I turned to my friends to say "Where the hell is Ginny in this, everyone else is fighting death eaters/casting Patronuses/bouncing a crazy ball around?"
And then all of a sudden Bonnie Wright shows up for five seconds to blow shit up. Impressive, and kind of funny, but if she's going to be a more involved character next movie I thought they would start beefing her role up more now. Finally, I read this in a comment about two years ago, and it's stuck in my head ever since. If Dumbledore were fifteen years old and female, he would absolutely be Luna Lovegood. And I say this in reference more to the Richard Harris and Book Dumbledore, because unfortunately the new one is very preoccupied with the war and just shouts a lot.
