Harvey-centric sketches from New York Comic Con!

Feb 09, 2009 11:50

I have returned from New York Comic Con, bearing a couple goodies that I wanna share with you folks.

Actually, there's a full story behind the acquiring of these drawings, rife with misunderstandings, misadventures, and glorious arms-flailing angst... but if you don't want all the details, I have here included just the drawings alone, story-free ( Read more... )

Thank you for sharing your sketches! Hope you had fun. I'll read you adventures later.

As a slasher, the second would have to be my favorite; but there's something on the last one, so haunting and beautiful

RFK as Two-Face? I'm sure there are some amazing associations behind that. Thank you again!

And thanks for reading and commenting! And here I was worrying that no one at a Harvey Dent community could appreciate a wonderful Gilda portrait. Hell, I thought for sure the Harvey/Bruce image would be a winner here, for the obvious reasons you mention. ;)

Yeah, I've had a damn hard time finding the right words to describe just what that Gilda portrait makes me feel. "Haunting" really is the word, you nailed it.

When I started reading about how RFK was an honest, driven mob-figher (James Ellroy calls him the greatest crimebuster of the 20th Century) and charismatic politician with possible dark, deep-seated anger issues related to his father, I definitely started researching him more. Check out the recent entry on my LJ, and you'll see the photo of RFK that really made me think of Harvey.

I guess I should be grateful LJ ate my comment. rekindle956 February 11 2009, 08:11:51 UTC
Because I went all weird. But the core of the matter is that you made me appreciated Gilda; I'm getting to know her thanks to you.

I saw RFK picture and I say it would workout perfectly (well, except that maybe you will have to run it with the copyright guys, right?)

it was quite a trip reading through your entry: the angst!the glory!

Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

Awesome! She's a character who should be better known, which is hard considering that there are very few stories that even scratch the surface of her importance and potential.

Oh, right, hahaha. Yes, wouldn't want to get sued by the AP, would I? DC vs. AP, clash of the titans!

Hell, thank YOU for reading and commenting!
