Okay so, I'm a n00b at LJ.
It's 11:35 PM and I can't fall asleep. So, this gives me a great opportunity to post my first entry in LJ. I know for a fact that people won't read this but I hate it when my page looks too damn plain, and besides, I use LJ almost every day. I might as well write something.
My Habbies won tonight. Yep, 4 - 0 against the Senators to be exact. Chris Higgins with the Hat Trick and Price with the shutout... The reunion they held as a team was clearly an eye opener. This guy at the main forum of the Canadiens introduced me to this quote that pretty much summed up what the Habs haven't kept in mind from the beginning of the season up until this game. "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." Yup, the team is back. For the first time this year, they worked. Well, okay fine, with a few gaffes in there, and it was just one game, but overall this is the best game I've seen them play all year. A few shout outs to some players:
Carey Price: All I need to say to you is that great goaltenders rebound after a bad performance. You proved us that you are that goaltender. Good job.
Komisarek: O_O. Umm... okay. Off-night tonight, but make sure that it won't happen again. Eek. (Don't get me wrong, I still love you haha)
A. Kostitsyn, Plekanec, Kovalev: Ugh. I actually wasn't worried for the first five games, but now this is becoming troublesome. Where the hell are you guys?! I mean, come on. Kovalev is shouldering the blame, but it's time that people looked at his linemates. Kostitsyn, wake up, goddamnit. You have been lost ever since you got KO'ed. And Pleks, keep it simple. We know you have talent but you gotta loosen your grip on the stick man!
Chris Higgins: Congrats man. I was waiting for it. Clearly, you belong on Saku's line. That is exactly the kind of performance we are all expecting from you. You forechecked like crazy, had two breakaways (which led to goals, thank you very much), and pretty much just worked your ass off. And it paid off. If that's what it takes for you to get results, then keep doing it. That's the kind of player you are. You need to WORK.
Koivu: I thought that you deserved a star tonight, rather than Gorges. (Sorry Gorges, you played great but Koivu deserved it.) You proved once again that you fully deserve to have the "C" on your jersey, by leading the team with your outstanding efforts tonight. I will be voting like a madman for you to get into the all-star game, that's for sure.
Next stop, TD Banknorth Garden vs. Boston Bruins.
