All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!. probably a really swanky penthouse apartment with a garden in a large city, ideally new york, seoul or london. it would very modern and multi-storied, and i'd have a whole seperate room for my animals to play in!
2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
i) To be perfect in every way. I am really insecure and perfectionistic and the only way I could be comfortable with myself would be to be absolutely perfect.
ii) The world was free from all kinds of prejudice and oppression. Everybody was happy! Yay!
iii) I can eat anything and never get above my ideal weight.
3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
This is really sad but I don't think I have anything to put here? I am a perfectionist with no discernible talents, meaning I don't do well at much, and what I do do well in, I automatically think its not good enough. Thats very woe-is-me, I know, but its this or make something up.
4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
The most important to me would be pleasure. All I really want is to be happy (which I've never really been) and that seems the closest. I feel like if as long as I was happy, nothing else would really matter which is probably very naive but there you have it.
The least important would be family. I don't feel largely connected to my family, and I don't get anything particularly enriching from having them in my life. I'd much rather have close friends or loved ones than biological family.
5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering - Nietzsche
I'm sorry thats so depressing, but after racking my brain this is the only one I could think of. I guess I have a rather cynical view of the world, but even after all of that I do believe that life is about growing stronger from the things you go through and improving as a person and finding things that make you happy.
6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
All of my money goes into a savings account. I have a decent amount of money, but I'm very finicky and anxious about it. I'm always double-checking the amount, and I have a hard time letting myself spend it on things I want, even though I have enough. On that note, I have no trouble buying useless crap like a a bottle of soda, but if it was a bottle of nail polish for the same price, I'd have to seriously debate with myself before I bought it. Financial security is very important to me, and I am always afraid of how much I spend, and running out of money.
7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
I honest to god don't have any hobbies. I really don't enjoy doing anything. I'll put down watching movies/tv, since its what I do the most of. I also love animals, so if 'animals' can be a hobby, I'll add that.
8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
i) Never being happy or feeling validated for my existence. It would absolutely crush me if I'm still as miserable at 50 as I am as 18. Heres hoping!
ii) Being immobilised. This extends from being paralysed, to be imprisoned by some sort of serial killer (modern day Ramsay Bolton maybe?).
iii) Somebody breaking into my house while I'm sleeping. This has always been a big fear of mine, though we've never had a break in so I'm not quite sure why.
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
Best:
i) I am very open minded about almost everything, I am willing to learn about things I don't understand and educate myself to the fullest extent before casting a judgement on something.
ii) I am very calm, it is very rare that I would lose control of myself, and I am very good at keeping my head on straight in chaotic and stressful times
iii) i've been told that i have a good sense of humour, and if i am in my element i can usually make people laugh quite easily.
Worst:
i) I am very judgemental about very minor things (people's personalities, their intelligence, their bodies). Whenever I meet new people I automatically assess them and make a very critical list of flaws. It is very rare that someone passes my internal testing and I like them, and when if I do like them I hold them to a impossibly high standard.
ii) My very deep insecurity, which ties in heavily with my first flaw. I have a cripplingly low sense of self esteem and almost no self confidence. I am afraid to be around people as I fear they will dislike me.
iii) I am very detached from my emotions, and have a hard time relating to other people. When other people are distressed or excited, I do not know what to say and they often mistake my actions as me not caring about them.
A Song of Ice and Fire Related
1.How many books from the series have you completed? All five!
2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why? that's really hard but:
i) Sansa. She's a lil cutie who has an incredible amount of quiet inner strength, and no matter how much crap she has to go through she's still polite and gracious and kind. I'm totally here for her everybody who has ever wronged her dying horribly while she smiles prettily and eats some lemon cakes then does some kickass needle work.
ii) Margaery. She is mastering the game so far, and she has the perfect mix of intelligence and charisma. She's also a very intriguing character as we have no idea of her true personality and intentions, which adds a sense of mystery and danger. I think she has a very strong chance of winding up on the Iron Throne and Matriach of her family which I would be thrilled with.
iii) Ygritte, my perfect wilding princess! I love how refreshingly different she was from the majority of ASOIAF characters, and her dialogue and interaction with Jon was one of my favourite parts of ASOS. I also appreciated that although Ygritte comes from a very primitive culture, in many ways she is much more liberated and advanced than other noble born characters.
(Special mentions: Asha, Fat Walda, Ramsay & Roose Bolton - I appreciate them as good villans, Dacey Mormont, Theon, Val, Jon, Myrcella, and Dolorous Ed)
3.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
i) Randyll Tarly. Gross misogynist, huge contender for Worst-Father-of-the-Year. Enough said.
ii) Victarion Greyjoy. Horribly misogynistic rapist and murderer (which, granted, is most of the Greyjoys but w/e) who has a huge victim complex and thinks he's really the good guy who has been horribly wronged by his brothers. Umm.
iii) Arya Stark. I most certainly don't dislike her, at most its just indifference. I've never really been overly into tomboy-warrior characters, and a lot of the time I feel like she's a hugely unrealistic character. She has her moments, but mostly its just blah.
4.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
The Purple Wedding. It was flat out exciting from beginning end, from the tumbling dwarfs to the very satisfying end of King Joffrey. I love the meddlesome matriach that is Olenna Tyrell, so to find out she had masterminded the whole thing was terrific. It was also great for Sansa to seize her chance at escape, even if she didn't exactly wind up in the best of circumstances.
5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
In my dream world, first and foremost - Margaery is the sole ruler of Westeros. Unfortunately Cersei will probably have to die for this to happen (and in light of Maeggy's prophecy, it would be at Jamie's hand). Tommen would be sent off as a ward of another noble family, and live happily. Dorne would become a free and independent land, with Myrcella as (though she would ultimately be a puppet for the Martells, namely Arianne). Sansa would be queen in the North, after she had disposed with Littlefinger with the help of Brienne. Cersei would realise at some point that Sansa is in The Vale and send Robert Strong after her. Sandor would come to her aid and die trying to stop him, but ultimately it would be Sansa who defeated him.
Daenerys would finally get to Westeros, and she and her dragons would go to The Wall to deal with the White Walker threat. There would be a huge battle, and both she and a resurrected Jon would be killed, though all of the White Walkers would be destroyed. Tyrion would be pardoned but sent to The Wall, and become the next Lord Commander. The wildlings would successfully settle in The North, with Val as their leader. Val would also marry Rickon Stark, who had been rescued from Skagos, to solidify her loyalty to The North. Beyond the wall, Bran becomes a tree-zombie.
Both Stannis and Ramsay Bolton would have been killed in the battle for Winterfell, however Roose and Fat Walda escaped and are still at large. Asha Greyjoy is exiled from the Iron Isles, and ends up bending the knee to Margaery and becoming Captain of the Royal Fleet. Theon and Jeyne Poole survive, and live happily in a little cottage somewhere.
Arya becomes a faceless woman and she is ultimeately the one who puts an end to Lady Stoneheart. She and Gendry become leaders of The Brotherhood Without Banners. Jamie, Brienne and Podrick will renounce their titles and wander the countryside, helping out smallfolk in need.
