All About You
1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
My ideal home is by the sea (preferably on an island). A place where the land is green and the trees grow tall and strong. I like temperate climates. A location that gets all four distinct seasons. I like to live somewhere that is not immediately surrounded by other people, but not so remote that it would take days to get to other humans. Living in a town or on the outskirts of a city would be wonderful too. The house would be open, airy, and of a decent size. It would be well-kept, clean, and welcoming to guests. A beautiful garden and a library are a must!
2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
Wish 1: I wish for the good health of myself and my family during our natural lifetimes. I would not wish for immortality, but knowing that my family would not die from sickness would be a blessing.
Wish 2: I wish for more wealth, prosperity, and money than my family will have need of even if our family survives for thousands of years.
Wish 3: This wish would be tricky because it would be a gamble to set free the genie. What if he's evil and there was a reason he was locked away in the lamp? What if when he is free he kills indiscriminately? Or maybe he's kind and benevolent? I'll set him free with my third wish. If he's evil I will find a way to either kill him or put him back in his lamp. If he's good then perhaps I just earned a special ally.
3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
My greatest accomplishments are my schooling. I place great emphasis on intelligence. Whether it is through formal training or learning by whatever means are available to you. An idle mind is a dull weapon.
4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
Important: Knowledge. The wisdom that should come with intelligence helps to make you a better person. You can not force someone to love you; money will be there if you know how to spend it right; family is important, but not something that you can control; friendship, like love, will be there if you have an open mind; adventure is the pursuit of knowledge and it can lead you to many places; pleasure is the goal and the reason for life.
Least Important: Adventure
5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
"Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure" by Rowena Ravenclaw the founder of House Ravenclaw in the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. This is everything that I believe most strongly about in one quote.
6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
Money is important to me in the sense that it helps makes life stress-free. When you have enough money to live comfortably on you can focus on the things you enjoy most in life. Having money lets your true personality shine through - wether for good or bad.
7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
I enjoy reading (mostly fiction, but also non-fiction). I appreciate good music - live preferably. Those two things can either ground you to where you are or send you to another time and place.
8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
1. I am not afraid to die, although I am not ready yet, but I do fear the way in which I might die.
2. Being either physically or mentally restricted by means of sickness or by captivity.
3. Humans destroying the beauty around them.
9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
Best:
1. I am loyal. If you have proven yourself, in my eyes, to be the kind of person I choose to surround myself with you will have my loyalty and protection.
2. I strive for balance.
3. I know how to put people at ease, be courteous and kind even to someone I dislike. Manners are important as I choose to rise above pettiness that other people can show.
Worst:
1. Unforgiving. If you do something I believe to be against my honour code I will not forget what you have done. Even if I am not outright cruel to you, that trust or loss of whatever may have been the crime will have coloured your opinion that I have of you.
2. Prideful. I have put great stock in my intelligence and those who choose not to use what is available to them to expand their minds are a waste of humanity. Some are born more intelligent than others, but that shouldn't stop anyone from learning especially in this day and age when knowledge is so easily accessible. I am not perfect, but I do take pride in my mind.
3. Vanity. I enjoy beautiful things, places and people. It is a weakness of mine.
A Song of Ice and Fire Related
1.How many books from the series have you completed?
All that are published as of May 2013.
2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
1. Sansa Stark. Hands down my favourite character in the entire series. She will make them love her. No matter what happens to her instead of becoming hateful she still is compassionate.
2. Jamie Lannister. His story is very complex and multi-layered. He had hard decisions to make in his life and I respect him.
3. Sandor Clegane. I don't even know where to start or end with him. I love this character.
3.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
1. Joffrey Baratheon (Lannister? Whatevs.) His upbringing is a little strange to say the least, but he is cruel for sport. That is horrific.
2. Roose Bolton. Do I really need an explanation? He's cold, calculating, and cruel for sport. Also, a traitor. Oh, yeah, can't forget that one. No loyalty makes me not a fan.
3. I really only have top two characters that I strongly dislike. The rest are all muddled together.
4.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
When Daenerys Targaryen's dragons are born. It was a powerful moment for her and for the rest of the world.
5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
I would bend the knee to Daenerys Targaryen on the Iron Throne. Let there be no more Bolton's. Sansa Stark Queen of the North.
