possible dragon riders

This began as a comment to the previous post, but became rather lengthy...

Now I, like so many others, want Dany and Jon to meet, marry, and rule together. It seems most, if not all, of the people who believe in this theory assume Jon will ride a dragon. One big problem with this theory: how will Dany, on the other side of the ocean, meet Jon and say, "Please ride one of my dragons." It makes no sense. I can think of no possibility for their meeting until after she has arrived at/conquered Westeros. I like to think the Night's Watch will defeat the Others, making themselves useless, and honorably disband, thereby freeing Jon to take the throne with Dany. But how is Dany supposed to go to Westeros, short one rider, go to the Wall, stop and chat with Jon, get to know him, get to trust him, convince him to ride a dragon to conquer who knows who will be left, and then teach him how to ride said dragon? It just does not seem plausible.

Now, much as I dislike the idea, what if Dany and Jon DON'T get married? Supposedly, Dany will never have another child. If this is true, it would make a marriage pointless. Perhaps she should follow Queen Elizabeth's lead and never marry. Targaryen or no, as far as I am aware there is no precedent for a woman ruling Westeros, especially with an able-bodied husband. Rightful heir she may be, but if she marries, she is likely to lose the throne she won.

Perhaps as someone mentioned, the third head could be a woman who could bear children and continue the Targaryen line, although it needn't be Jon Snow. There have been at least a couple of very mild suggestions that Tyrion is not a Lannister (well, his mother was also a Lannister cousin, but that Tywin is not his father). Take this conversation between Jon and Tyrion from A Game Of Thrones:
"What do you know of being a bastard?"
"All dwarfs are bastards in their father's eyes."
"You are your mother's trueborn son of Lannister."
"Am I?" the dwarf replied, sardonic. "Do tell my lord father. My mother died birthing me, and he's never been sure." (page 57 of paperback)

The other "evidence" is Tyrion's hair being "silvery blond." And, as has been mentioned previously, GRRM has pretty much said Tyrion will ride a dragon in his online posts.

All this may be total b.s., but it is a thought-provoking alternative to what seems to be a universal consensus. If George has taught us anything, it is to expect the unexpected! He may be constantly foreshadowing, but he still manages to surprise. Tyrion has a much better chance of meeting Dany than Jon, at any rate. I'm sure the prospect of dragons will bring Tyrion running. And GRRM clearly loves to shock and surprise. You think he has never visited a single message board? Do you think he doesn't know that all his fans think R+L=J and J+D=Song of Ice and Fire? I think he would love to surprise us all with something completely unexpected.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Dany never getting married (unless to Jon). She really can't trust anyone, especially all the men trying to marry her. They're all lying pricks that only want to use her. Even Jorah was a spy for the Usurper. I don't think she can trust anyone enough to marry them (expect Jon). Why give the throne to someone else? She should keep it for herself! Can you imagine Daario or Euron usurping her throne? I hope her dragons roast Euron alive.

Anyway, I do not expect the seventh book to answer every single question. Unless there is a lot of summarization at the end of the book, I can't imagine he will write much about what will doubtlessly be Dany's long, peaceful, successful reign. We may be left to wonder if she ever has children and who will succeed her. And, even if the original series ends with the seventh book, there is nothing to stop George from writing other stories about Westeros, that could take place well after the books, just as The Hedge Knight was Westeros well before the books. His idol Tolkien (whom I personally loathe) devoted his entire life to writing story after awful story about Middle Earth. What is to stop George from doing the same? Although, I am just hoping the soon-to-be sexagenarian lives long enough to finish the next three books. (If by any rare chance George reads this-HURRY UP! Or your despised fanfiction will be forced to take over, and no one wants that! [Although if you do finish ASOIAF, I would enjoy some more Haviland Tuf]). I digress...

The best possible solution would be Dany and Jon marrying, ruling jointly, and having lots of children.
